Shipping Time from UK ?

David RShipping Time from UK ?
I've been waiting almost a month for a medium sized package from the UK. Actually, I believe that it is 4 weeks already. Does this seem unusual ? In the past I have won UK ebay auctions, in which the cards arrived in 2-3 weeks (small packages), sometimes sooner...

NEMESISBOYHi David
It depends on how it was sent.By Royal Mail
Standard post, (Surface Mail), then it could take 3 months.
Airsure or International Signed For, then it should take about 10 working days. Usually 3-5 days.
It might be held up in Customs in the USA

Kevin FI have found shipping times to the US from the UK to very, very variable this year. As Hammer has said, most seem to arrive within 14 days but my worst case this year took just over a month to arrive. Airsure packages seem to take longer than regular Airmail as they get held up in US Customs for ages. Anything from 3 to 7 days is normal. The tracking shows them going into New York and just sitting there. Also, the delays do seem to be happening once they reach America. All my tracked items have reached America in 1 or 2 working days (Saturday and Sunday aren't working days on either side of the Atlantic) from when I post them.
How was your package sent ? Regardless of method, the Royal Mail do not deem international post to be lost until 25 working days after it is posted.

GrahamI've had delays both ways. One package from the US took 14 days just to leave the country. I sent a single card of very little value and it got to the US in 5 days. A registered one (quite expensive) took 38 days. There's no rhyme or reason for the variation. The biggest frustration is some are at the wire for Paypal claims. Paypal should extend claims to 90 days for international.

drofdarbMight as well ask how long is a piece of string.. I have had deliveries from the US, ordered on Friday turn up on Monday, and others take up to 6-7 weeks.. similarly when sending to the US, some people start chasing after 2 weeks and what can I say, it's out of my hands, it's in the post..

Jason WrightI really don't understand why packages take so long, had similar experiences with people filing complaints via eBay but thankfully buyers have been honest and told me the package did turn up after 3 weeks. Some items will get there in 4 days. Even sending artist blanks can be a nightmare but I ship them all as printed paper and they do arrive quickly but sometimes they do take 3 weeks which delays the artists starting work on them. I think the longest was 6 weeks for an item to arrive last Christmas!!

wolfieI had something sent from America on wednesday and it arrived today.
I sent an SAE to Rittenhouse 6 weeks ago and have had nothing back so far.
Very difficult to predict this postal stuff.

ZeroIts the wrong way but USA to UK can be three or four days or three or four weeks the difference tends to be tracking. If tracked it takes forever!
I've ordered some brand new sets of cards direct from a company in the USA and i'm still waiting for the tracked package to arrive. It actually doesn't appear to have moved since the day it was posted. I've bought the same cards from collectors in the USA who got there's delivered quickly and manged to get them to forward them to me before my direct purchase has even left the USA. Tracking sucks! In my opinion the longer a parcel is in the postal system the more chance there is of something going wrong.

Stephen123Shipping the other way takes 14 days usually, but if Royal Mail is holding it for VAT or customs duty add another 14 days.

David RMy package came earlier this week. It took about 3 weeks.
A few months ago, I won an ebay auction from a UK seller for one card, and it arrived in 2 days, from the UK to the US !

treksearcherI recently made a purchase from the U.S. and after just over three weeks contacted to seller to let them know I had not received the item. Without question they just stated they would send a replacement which arrived a week later on the same day as the original item purchased.
Both items were sent with same postage costs in similar envelope. I just told the seller to send me an invoice for the replacement item and kept both items.
