Wow! About $756 if you include shipping. Just for a little piece of plastic and cardboard.

I forget, were these inserted into packs, or by redemption?

Pack inserted and not by redemption. There's still some out there waiting to be pulled I'm sure. Angel

#10/107 came up for auction at the end of November and ended at $710. Prices are down on most Buffy cards but this one seems to be holding up quite well - probably because of how infrequently it comes up for sale.

I'm not sure because I didn't try to research it, but it seems to me that the Buffy Stake card has to be one of the highest priced relic cards around, if not the highest priced, in that quantity.

They are numbered to 107 copies after all, which is short printed, but not truly impossible. Not as short as The Wizard of Oz Dorothy Dress, which is probably the most expensive relic card I think of, but has only something like 5 copies. Ironman's metal suit piecework also comes to mind, but I can't remember how many copies exist.

Can anyone think of any relic cards with over 100 copies, and no autograph, that sell on average higher than the Buffy Stake card?

Thanks, I can't seem to find quantity info, even looking up the Armored Cards in last year's Non-Sport Almanac.

What I see are the 2-case incentives in 2008 Iron Man for Mark I, Mark II and Iron Monger. They run from $75 - $150, with Iron Monger at $120 - $200.

Than the bigger one is IMC12 in 2010 Iron Man 2 running $350 - $500. No mention of the number of copies.

Buffy's SE1 Slayer's Essential Stake Card from 10th Anniversary Pieceworks is listed as $500 - $800 in the Almanac. So it would seem like none of the Armored Cards beat it for highest value of an unsigned relic with more than 100 copies. Are there any other candidates out there?

I can't think of any with a print run over 100. Some of the most valuable prop/relic cards that come to my mind are from the Harry Potter sets - like the Tri-Wizard wand incentives, the Platform 9 3/4 ticket, the Pear Tree leaves, etc. And the Golden Ticket prop from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Those all used to sell for big money years ago. But they all have print runs under 100.

Did the Stargate SG1 premiere series C3 (Sam Carter) have more than 100 issued?

The 2017 Almanac doesn't give a quantity on the C3, but the range is only $80 - $150 anyway.

The only times I seen it on ebay, it been offered for significantly more than that. There's one on there now for over $500.

Yeah, that's on a BIN, so who knows how serious the seller is. There is also another C3 on a BIN for $299.99. I looked for a sold listing on that card, but nothing came up. Didn't know about it, but I didn't follow Stargate.

One thing about the SE-1 Stake card is that a lot more collectors probably heard about it, even if they didn't do Buffy, and demand should be more than a lesser known title. Of course price guides are not gospel, so any card is only as good as the highest offer you can find at the time.
