Interesting stuff, but the price -- dang.

That auction was the definition of 2 buyers who really wanted something.

The winning bidder wasn't one of the early bidders and there were several involved. The description wasn't that clear. But yeah, if it's just a bunch of mock-ups and some plates, you'd think that it would've gone for maybe a few-several hundred bucks but then there are collectors for that kind of stuff too. It would be interesting to see if there were actual prototype cards included and what they look like - maybe blank-backed or at least different backs than whatever the regular versions are.

Anyway, yes, very interesting. Someone could write at least an article on that. Who knows what else the seller is going to offer in the future. Here's link:
