17 years and still nothing...just because Artbox went outoff bussiness in 2017 is no reason not to send the card out.... Just kidding...it would be nice if the anger that is being sent Artbox's way could be directed at the real cause the actor. Yes it would be nice to get the card but what do you all think is a fair replacement? After 3 years I would think a special auto of the 3 kids would be in order, they seem willing to sign for every set. ____________________ Ok 1 more pack then I'am done...no really..wait how many are left in that box? http://1000thghostcards.weebly.com/

Does anyone really know where the auto cards are? Were they sent to the actor? Does he still have them?

So I have been calling Artbox and they never seem to answer their phone. So I finally just left a message. Explained the situation and said I would like some kind of resolution with this. Its been over 4yrs. If Mr.Gleeson hasn't signed any...He won't. And I told them I am sick of hearing that they are working on a replacement. I have heard that since before Comic Con 2010. Its just getting ridiculous.

I wonder if anyone outside of Artbox has any idea how many people sent in the Mad Eye redemption before it expired and are on the LIST, for eternity it would seem? I also wonder what, if anything, Artbox has going on now that we've seen the last of Harry?

I believe Artbox is still honoring expired redemptions for all their products if they have the card in stock. Now as for the Mad Eye, I am glad I sold my redemption and kept my GOF verison. I can't believe this is still going on. ____________________ Specializing In: Movie, TV, Sports Trading Cards and Memorabilia, Comics, Action Figures, Video Games and MORE!!!

I've also been calling Artbox on and off since about mid-spring of 2011. The last couple of months though, I get transferred to leave a message and that someone will return my call but they never do. WORSE YET, I tried the Artbox website last week 12-5-11 and today 12-13-11 and there is absolutely nothing there. It's totally down/missing. Both times my attempts were thru Google (not some old link) so this has me concerned that something bad is going on with Artbox. Anyone else have similar problems ???

Man, am I glad I don't work for Artbox. Can you imagine all the complaints over the last four years. It's crazy to see this drama is still going on. Seriously, if someone hasn't signed cards in 4 years, are they ever actually going to?

Yes, whew ! Looks like they got it back up and running. I spoke with Kay back in the spring as I had to have my address updated and her email is now auto-messaging that she is on a short term leave. I haven't dealt with anyone else at Artbox but maybe I'll try calling their offices again within the week.

I remain unconvinced that all is well with Artbox Entertainment. This morning at 6:15 am CT I went back to their website and thankfully my anti-virus kicked in and blocked the following address: http://monikac.345.pl/dng311011/c44bbc946404bb55ee1a577b4d334593/spl.php This was the address I was diverted to when attempting to go to Artbox. Same link I had used a couple of days back when all appeared to be fine after the site had been down previously. No problems reaching the other 3 dozen websites I routinely visit every day. Additionally, I've now left a total of 5 phone messages for this month (over 17 days); none have been returned, even though their automated system assures my message will be returned with a call. I've sent a total of 3 emails for this month (again, over 17 days) and haven't received any reply. Just wanted to update with my most recent experience... The boat may still be afloat, but it looks like no one's at the wheel.

The other day when I got on their site my anti-virus blocked something too. I was wondering if Artbox was going to close down after finishing with the Harry Potter sets (since that seems to be the only cards they were making) but I really hope not. I wish they got more licenses as Harry Potter and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are two of my favorites. I really like their autograph design and their prop cards. I do hope all is well at Artbox and they can stick around.

The same thing happened to me when I went to the website earlier in the week. Maybe the site was hacked by someone who's been waiting for the Gleeson auto. Artbox makes other items, including gaming cards. It's likely to stay in business even if it doesn't have any non-sport licenses. Also, keep in mind that no one other than the people at Artbox and WB know when the Harry Potter license will expire. We've made assumptions (myself included) based on a comment made by a UK card manufacturer and the expiration date for the Deathly Hallows redemption cards, but we don't have a definitive answer. By the way, I Googled the blocked address. It's from Poland and the search yielded a lot of porn sites. I wouldn't go anywhere near the Artbox site until Kay is back in the office and can have the problem fixed.

I agree that it looks like someone has hacked the website but of course that doesn't excuse Artbox from ignoring their own website any more than they have an excuse for neglecting phone calls or not answering emails... it's just bad business. At the very least, they should change the answering machine message to explain why OR at least acknowledge they won't be returning phone calls. My thinking regarding when the Artbox HP license will expire is that the actual date will have little to do with any redemption expiration dates, given Artbox has made the poor practice over the years of redeeming cards way, way beyond the expiration dates on the cards themselves. While many people would disagree with my assessment, I would simply argue that there's no point having expiration dates for redemptions if they aren't followed. Perhaps having a date on redemptions but calling the date something other than "expiration" would be the way for card manufacturers to go. Yes, though, I have benefited from the "extended" dates as many have. No one seems to know if redemptions must end when the Artbox license to produce HP cards ends. Kay at the Artbox office has always been great but shouldn't a business of this size ( just over 8 mil last year) have more than a single reliable person at the helm of their consumer/customer services office ? I do hope they stay in business but would love to see MAJOR improvements in the way they appear to conduct business.

Well that is precisely what happened with Inkworks. Everyone thought it was great that redemptions were honored regardless of expiration dates. Then Inkworks closed down without notice and not only were people stuck holding redemptions that they could have sent in, but a huge inventory of autograph cards got bulk sold and dumped on the market, effectively reducing prices for everything. Whatever's up with Artbox, its not Inkworks, so the impact won't be anywhere near as bad if redemptions are left unfulfilled. Redemptions should only be used if the card is too large or too thick to be pack inserted without being obvious to cherry pickers. That's it. Anything more is bad planning or poor management on the part of the manufacturer in my opinion.

Has anyone recently sent redemptions to Artbox and received the autos? If cards are still being shipped, then someone is working in the office. I think sometimes a manufacturer gets caught in the middle. If it has commitments for autos, but a signer doesn't return the cards by the deadline (which isn't the manufacturer's fault), then there are three options: delay the release, insert redemptions, or not include the auto in the set and mess up the insert ratios. No matter the option, collectors are going to be upset.

I would agree with you that sometimes unforeseen things happen, but if you roll out product advertising and set a release date before you have your premium hits (autographs, material and sketch cards) in hand then the manufacturer is putting itself in the middle from the start. Redemptions should be viewed as the worst possible fall back. Better to delay the release and do it right, than put out a poor set and hurt your reputation. Again, just my opinion.

Iceberg ahead ! Five days later and the website is still directing to the same exploit blackhole I listed above. If you're going to try and access the Artbox website be sure to update your antivirus to the latest and get your browser settings and firewall configured, or at least up and protecting
