I've known about the Pacific set of Eight Men Out cards since it was released. D. B. Sweeney's twitter feed shows another one I've never seen before. It looks like a product of Big League Cards, Jim Bouton's old outfit. Does anyone know anything about this? Was it released with the DVD?

I don't think it was a DVD insert but then I've never seen that card nor a set like that. Big League Cards sets always seemed to be odd giveaways. I have a set that celebrates Billboard magazine employees with the set sent out to subscribers. That card might have been part of a set that was given out to cast and crew or handed out at the movie premiere - something like that. I think we would have seen it before if it was a VHS or DVD insert. You might try contacting one of the actors about it.

I did a Google search and I see a similar, white bordered John Cusack card for Eight Men Out. It says NEXT Movie Trading Cards on it. Not sure what that means.

This article says that it was a set of 9 produced in 2013. The checklist says the cards are: Chadwick Boseman Ray Liotta Charlie Sheen Wesley Snipes Chris Pratt Bernie Mac Madonna John Cusack Dennis Quaid But NO D.B.Sweeney card ? https://www.mtv.com/news/28156...ovie-baseball-cards/

That article would seem to indicate that they aren't actual cards, but digital creations that could be printed out. Since they are using prior baseball card designs the whole thing is probably just for fun, as there would be no license to sell anything.

So were the 2 cards in the links above printed out and sold by someone ? And this does not solve the mystery of the Sweeney card.

Yeah, those are different from the "Eight Men Out" card that Bill showed. Those look like custom images made to look worn. Here's a thread in which he talks about the company, Big League Cards, with a couple of informative links. http://nonsportupdate.infopop....087096496#6087096496
