Wrong Wolfie, there is one in Newcastle Grainger Market Unit 166 although he mainly sells Yugiho/Magic Cards these days.

Yeah Wolfie, I'm with you. Outside of America this hobby get's about as much retail support as the Collectors Of Dodo Memorabilia gets. NZ has zip outlets and to the best of my knowledge Australia has one left in Melbourne (CardZone)
Even my local toys and games supplier has dropped the Ultra-Pro franchise so now I have to buy direct from the Australian distributor.
Frankly I buy 100% of my cards from EBay which in real terms means America. I frequently pay $10 for a set of cards and $12-15 on top for postage. I just bite the bullet (and ***** a lot) but pay the prices. I do get more than a little miffed when someone charges me $15 postage for a set of cards and so does the seller who is sending me one card. This practise is rife on EBay.

It's only rife for those daft enough to pay it. I'd like to see someone try and charge me $15 to send one card, that would be some conversation. Big Grin

The asterisks come from the censorship tool provided by the company that hosts card talk - not card talk itself

Probably a very short one to be honest. I have sent several items I've sold on eBay to Australia in recent months and unfortunately it is expensive. the basic Airmail cost to send a small packet to Australia from the UK is £2.07p which covers weights from 1-100g. That makes it the same for a single card or a set. To meet Paypal protection requirements, it has to use a method that provides on-line proof of delivery which means International Signed For to Australia. That adds a further £4.95 to the price. If the contents are worth more than £46, then throw on another £2.50 to the cost. And that just covers the cost of the stamp ! Once you include the cost of a jiffy bag (or other suitable bag), toploader(s) and plastic sleeves, the p&p costs can climb rapidly.

The only real grounds for complaint on cost here are if the seller charges for Airsure/International Signed For/Similar and then just uses regular Airmail and pockets the difference.

Kevin's spot on, I just posted a load of cards off by International signed for to Australia, cost was £9.52 with insurance up to £250. Up to £41 it's less than £2 so if anyone spends £80 or so on cards I normally send them in 2 seperate parcels if I can.

And back on subject, which Dr Who cards are you after Morbius?
