Sarah Michelle Gellar digital live signature
I am one of those weird people who do digital cards (Star Wars and just getting into Quidd). Topps has something called 'live signatures' where the actor uses some sort of digital pen to sign at some event - in this case, at SW Celebration. The signature is digitally added to the digital card and the whole thing is available very soon after signing.

One of today's signatures was Sarah Michelle Gellar - she voices one of the characters in the animated TV series Rebels. So, after not signing for so long, it appears Gellar is starting to get into the fan/convention idea.

So if this was an actual card, rather than a digital card, the "live signature" would be the same as a facsimile signature printed into the card.

Either way, its not an autograph. Big Grin

And as discussed in the Buffy thread, SMG is signing all over the place now. Wink

It makes me think of the phrase about 2nd string celebrities attending every award show and event being described as: "They would turn up to the opening of an envelope!"
At the moment Sarah Michelle Gellar is in danger of signing the envelope too. Wink Big Grin

I seen the card... I am not into digital cards.

I wish it was a real card and real auto...

Do you think they would ever release a real version of the card with an authentic auto?

I have no doubt she will sign for more, non-Buffy cards. But I wonder if Buffy will be the only time she uses "Gellar". I remember reading that whenever she does sign she almost always uses "Sarah Michelle" only. Kinda makes her Buffy cards that much cooler. Smile

I'm really not sure about that because I don't know where you read it or when. All I know is that, prior to her recent conversion into a public signer, almost all of her signatures on the market were full three-name autographs.

Now I am sure that most of those available 8x10 photos were of pre-prints or were just fakes since she was a really tough autograph, but the sample displayed was of the full signature, so she had to be using it early on.

It was only since her signed cookbook was released by B&N that I saw the Sarah Michelle only signature being used. There are also photos of the printed SMG that she handed out as an autograph at her private book signing in NYC.

I don't really think she reserved the full signature only for Buffy cards, but obviously it would be the most preferred version if you had a choice. Having to pay to get the SMG version would be an insult.

I would say NO, but it should be very easy to make the card and SMG seems to have turned into a willing signer for the right price. I still wouldn't expect it, but you can't rule it out either. Wink
