Happy New Year CardScout and to all my fellow promo card collectors! I have settled into my new digs and ready to delve into another episode of "why collect promo cards?". The next ZOOM meeting will take place on Monday, January 24,2022 @ 8:00 PM Eastern Time (US). Anyone with an interest in promo cards and their progeny is invited to participate.

Now I too am in the same boat because over here we're one hour behind EST and soon it'll be 2 since there is no daylight savings time in Costa Rica. Got to love technology though that we can have people in at least half a dozen time zones communicating on the same platform. I hope to see you then, sir.

Hope you had lots of people attending..?

We had the meeting which started just after 5pm Pacific Standard Time (the sun had just set here) and ended just before 7pm. Thanks to Promoking for hosting the meeting which included him, Steve, Todd, Piko, and myself. He had a nice array of snacks and drinks for his guests.

We talked about how we felt about this card grading craze and how it's now part of the sports card hobby though not fully entrenched in non-sports. We discussed particular cards like that E.T. Multimotion prototype and the Star Wars Trilogy Widevision P4 (Sandcrawler).

I don't get much of a chance to talk cards in detail in this part of the country so it was a great conversation to be part of.
