There's (possibly) a stuffy Cockney accent, a stuffy Welsh accent, a stuffy Scottish accent, a stuffy West Country accent (actually, there are several of those!), a stuffy Geordie accent, a stuffy Midlands accent... I won't drone on! </pedant> Of course you make topics interesting - EVERYONE does! Au Res., Paul (who hasn't been on the list for quite some time...) When you meet me don't expect me to do Byker Grove impressions. Although I will do Big Brother accents and the guy from Alan Partridge on request ----- "Who knows where thoughts come from? A Geordie is someone hailing from Newcastle, in the North East ofd England. Usually hard as nails, wanders around the town in a tee-shirt even in the middle of winter, drikns Newkie Broon. I'm trying desperately to think of a Geordie someone in America might actually have heard of! Apart from BCW, of course. If you've ever seen the actor James Bolam in anything, he's about the closest I can think of... Au Res., Paul Oh, Hang on, "Au Wiedersehn, Pet"! Have you had that in the US yet? THAT's Newcastle style (bonny lass) Sometimes, one pack is not enough... http://www.users.waitrose.com/~paulbines

This isn't going to help too muc heither, but Neil Tennant (of the Pet Shop Boys) is also a Geordie. Does Viz get as far as the USA? It's got some interesting humour in it, and it's mostly produced in Newcastle... Au Res., Paul Sometimes, one pack is not enough... http://www.users.waitrose.com/~paulbines

Hey, that's my thing too! I just saw They Might Be Giants in concert about 3 months ago. I never really got into Siouxsie and The Banshees though. Visit Non-Sport Update at www.nonsportupdate.com
