Looks like the second episode has made it to iTunes. Downloading it now...

Peter cloetok, I'm going to listen to it this afternoon.

Quaint1Thanks to everyone who has downloaded the podcast - currently, it is number 16 on the iTunes "Today's Top Games & Hobbies/Hobbies Podcasts" and is now appearing on the Games & Hobbies "New and Notable" front page ribbon! (It's just a shame Apple hasn't yet fixed the problem with updating podcast 'album' art, so I have to make do with the generic iTunes podcast logo...)
The next episode will be after ComicCon - I don't intend to make it a fortnightly thing (my original intention was every couple of months!) but as there were two big events so close together, I felt it would be silly not to try to cover them!
Au Res.,
Paul (still looking for interviewees for future episodes!)

kid_renderVery cool. I'll have to download the episodes into my IPod and check it out. I was wondering if there was a podcast like this. I'm always on the lookout for something interesting to listen to while working.

Quaint1Just in case anyone is interested, Episode 03 of CardCast, entitled "California Dreaming...", is being uploaded as I type this and should be available in all the usual places over the next 24 hours. Episode 03 featured a lengthy interview with Harris Toser (does he
NEVER shut up?

) talking about ComicCon and related matters.
Episode 04 will be in a month or so - getting three podcast episodes out in a little over 6 weeks is not easy!

You are doing a great job with these. Course I come with a biased opinion here being that you keep interviewing me for some silly reason; but really, I mean it. You're a natural.
Hope everyone will give these a listen, even if you have to listen to me.

Quaint1Oops! Something I've just noticed is that I managed somehow to repeat a short section about Artbox and Topps - my apologies for any sense of
deja vu that listeners might experience

steve jAnother super cardcast. I did spot the deja vu part. That Harris goes on a bit doesn't he

,
An interesting item on the star wars "business card". I personally do not collect business cards as such but I keep all the business cards connected to trading cards that have been sent me. It's a collection isn't it? Whenever I send a trade for example I add my own personal business card. We all seem to do it but it has not been recognised as such. Interesting!

I tell you, you can't shut him up once he's got going!

I have now updated the
CardCast website with a 'Gallery' page showing scans of some of the cards discussed in Episode 03, including all the Inkworks Promo pack cards, and the Buffy Variant Issue exclusive!

Quaint1Just to let everyone interested know that Episode 04 is being uploaded as I type, so it should be available both directly from CardCast.co.uk, or from your favourite Podcast directory (including iTunes) in the next 24 hours or so. As I mentioned elsewhere, Episode 04 features interviews with 2 of the lucky collectors who pulled the Harrison Ford autograph card from Star Wars 30th, a brief look at the news, and a chat with Harris "Hasn't Taken The Hint" Toser...
By the way, if anyone downloads the podcast from iTunes and wants to leave a review there, please feel free! I'm not 100% certain on this, but I think reviews posted on iTunes get the reviewed podcast more noticed by iTunes pickers!

Great Podcast. Really enjoyed this one !!

Quaint1Thanks for the nice comments!
I
may have a shorter episode up before Memorabilia - I'll see if I can find the time. Regardless, I'm hoping to make the Memorabilia episode a good 'un!
Advance notice: I'd like to dedicate a future episode to Sketch cards, so this means I'd like to hear from Artists and Collectors who would be happy to talk (for free!!!) about the various aspects of the Sketch Card world. I am not a major collector of sketches (I have a couple, but know relatively little about that side of Non-Sport) so would be looking to make this a sort of 'Idiot's Guide to Sketch Cards', with me, naturally, being the idiot!
No cost to anyone participating - I can use Skype to call most international and UK landlines, though if you have a Skype account, so much the better! If you would be interested in participating, please email me
OFF-BOARD at ukcardcast@googlemail.com
Also, if anyone uses Creative's ZenCast podcast directory, UK CardCast has now been submitted to them for consideration - hopefully it will be available there soon!

Quaint1Wolfie,
If you don't have an MP3 player, but you do have speakers or a pair of headphones on your computer, go to the CardCast.co.uk website and right click on the episode links, choose 'Save Target As...' and save the MP3 files to your hard drive. Once they have downloaded, double clicking them should start Windows Media Player (if you have it installed) or whatever software Windows thinks you use for audio playback (if yo uhave a Windows PC - if you have an Apple Mac, then whatever Apple thinks should open should open), and you should hear my dulcet tones and, in most episodes, some American bloke who has the habit of mispronouncing 'Birmingham'

Yeah, well, I'd like to see
you go to Alabama and say it the way you say and see how they look at
you.
