 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE NSU’s Managing Editor Wins USA Today’s Media & Entertainment Prognostication Contest Who could have predicted this? Harrisburg, PA – December 30, 2007 – Late last December, USA Today asked readers to predict what the coming year will bring in the world of media. Questions such as which "megasequal" will generate the most box office dollars and what media company will be purchased in 2007 were asked. Today, USA Today has announced the winner and it is Marlin Toser, NSU's Managing Editor! USA Today columnist David Lieberman called last week to deliver the good news. More then 1,000 people entered last year's USA Today's 11th annual Media and Entertainment Prognostication contest; Marlin bested them all. The Harrisburg, PA resident has long been a fan of movies and other forms of entertainment. He has been the Managing Editor of Non-Sport Update (NSU) magazine since its inception in 1990. He also recently served as the Managing Editor for "The Encyclopedia of Non-Sport & Entertainment Trading Cards" (by Todd Jordan) book published this year. Both NSU and the "Encyclopedia" are guides for collectors of non-sport and entertainment trading collector cards (cards similar to sports cards that feature images from television shows, movies, comics, nostalgia, etc.). When asked how he felt about winning the contest, Marlin responded "I’m proud to have the best score among all of the people who entered the contest." Non-Sport Update is the original magazine for collectors of non-sport trading cards. Each issue contains articles, promotional trading cards, and a price guide of cards from the 1880s to today. Non-Sport Update hosts "Card Talk", an online discussion forum at https://nonsportupdate.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x.
