Hi All:

I have some details on the Card Talk Gathering taking place at the upcoming Philly Non-Sports Card Show.

This show's NSU Card Talk Member Gathering is being sponsored by Cryptozoic Entertainment. It will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn (1787-B Airport Rd, Allentown, PA 18109), our host Hotel.

During this show's Card Talk member gathering, we'll be hosting a sketch card panel featuring some of the exhibiting artists from the show (Axebone, Ted Dastick Jr., Rhiannon Owens, Sean Pence, Elaine Perna, and Tony Perna). The artists will talk about the cards they create, their work in other media, upcoming projects, and more. They'll be plenty of time for Q&A from the audience.

As stated, Cryptozoic Entertainment is sponsoring the event. Representatives from Cryptozoic will be on-hand and will briefly speak about their upcoming card series such The Walking Dead and Comic Book Legal Defense Fund/Liberty Trading Cards.

We will have a few prizes on-hand to award at the close of the meeting. All registered Card Talk members (registered as of April 1, 2011) will be eligable to win any prizes we have. As usual, to make things fair, once we give away a prize to one family member, husband/wife, etc. that will take that group out of the running for any other prizes.

The gathering will start at 8:15 on Sunday, May 15 and will last approximately one hour. Light refreshments will be served including coffee, donuts, and bagels.

We invite all Card Talk members (and their guests) attending the show to come to the gathering. Space will be limited and there is no cost to sign up.

HOW TO SIGN-UP
Please only sign-up if you can make it, as we hate to turn anyone away and then have empty seats. We're going to handle sign-up a bit differently this time. Sign-up at the page below:

NSU Card Talk 05/11 Event

When signing up, be sure to supply your "real" name and forum ID for each person you are RSVP'ing for (guests are welcome too - please be sure to supply guests full name for the name badges). The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, May 4, or while space permits. If anyone has any trouble with the sign-up process, please let me know.

I would love to attend, but Sunday night at 815 pm is no good for me. Hopefully I'll be back in Rhode Island by then.

Batman is signed up! Let's go, the rest of you are a bit slow!

Yes, it is 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM on Sunday morning, just like usual.

I see where I had a mistake when I set-up the sign-up page and put 8:15 AM to 9:15 PM. Thanks for pointing that out, Freddy and Batman. I've corrected it now.

Don't worry, there's always plenty of time to get to the show after the gathering. Merchants Square Mall is approximately 15 minutes from the Hilton, so you still have a half hour to spare.
