Chicago Non-Sport Card Show Friday April 19: 3PM to 7PM Saturday April 20: 9AM to 3PM
We have our first Guest Announcement:
Dan Gorman will be joining us in April! Dan is no stranger to trading cards, having done work for almost every manufacturer currently producing sketch cards. This includes 5FINITY, Breygent, Cryptozoic, Cult Stuff, Frank Eachus Publishing, Galen's Sketch Cards, Marty & Boo's Cards, Rittenhouse, Unstoppable Cards, Upper Deck, Viceroy Cards, and his newest gig: sports card sketches for Leaf Trading Card's 2013 Best of Hockey set. That way you'll be sure to get what you are looking for!
More news as it comes in, including Promo Card information!

You had me at "bar on site"! I'm hoping to make this my first show since it's only a 4 hour drive. It's looking good so far!

We have our first EXCLUSIVE promo card in hand thanks to Marty and Boo Cards.
Like normal, one per person per day. Dealers at the show will get one per table. So check out the dealer list online if you don't have a trading partner going to the show both days.

Great promo . . .
I think dealers should get a promo per day they attend -- just like collectors. . .

Just received promos from Largo Intergalactic ViE for the "The E-Mail" set. Not exclusive to the show, but still very cool. They are promos P1, P2, P3, P4, and P3.
They will be inserted at a rate of 2-3 per promo packet as there are not enough to put all 5 in each (There are only 50 or so P1's).
Pictures are on the website in the "Our Supporters" section!

Ed-
Not to critize or discourage you, but those cards are probably eight years old. I wrote about The E-Mail set in Aug. 2005. If the cards in your hand are new(er), I'd be very surprised because I never since heard from the guy who dreamed them up.

I don't discourage easily...
Yes, the cards have a copyright date of 2004. So they are actually 9 years old. But, I'd never seen them in person or ever had any in my promo book so they weren't widely distributed.
Apparently they are making a new push as they contacted me and wanted to send me cards. I'll never say no to that. I'll support them for supporting us. Hopefully something new comes from them and we'll have even newer stuff in the future.

OK. Promos look promising.
Now, who wants to arrange a trade prior to the show?
My three posts are on Cardtalk trading page.
The next few weeks are the best time, otherwise, I will be bogged down with show prep.

Question about the 2012 promos:
I have P3 of John Metych and P4 of Craig Boldman
Are P1 and P2 the Connie Faye and Tom Kelly ones from the 2011 show ?

P1 and P2 are Spring 2012 P3 and P4 are Fall 2012 P5 and P6 will be Spring 2013
I'm sensing a pattern here...

Artist Connie Faye will be joining us again on Saturday ONLY.
Connie's signature "gothic" style is very recognizable. She'll have original art and prints for sale. You can see her work at: Connie's Website
She'll also have limited quantites of the ToyCon promo she did the artwork for and the Scifi Cards P12 promo card which she did the art for.
