Umm, OK, so we're walking to the car to put stuff away at about 11am Thursday and the Hall H wranglers are saying "No Line for Hall H", so we go in, knowing the Hunger Games panel was upcoming shortly. We love J-Law, so why not? Anyway, the previous program for "Open Road Films" is still going on when we get in. There was no description whatsoever in the program for that, so imagine our surprise when Bill Murray is onstage at his witty best in what was his first appearance in San Diego. He had the room in stitches and then, in his usual nonconformist manner, he then insisted on walking out through the front of the hall instead of the out the back the way the stars usually depart when he was done. After that, the Hunger Games panel was surprisingly moderated by conan O'Brien (who is doing his show in San Diego this week), and he was also very funny, and it was great to see the engaging young cast of Hunger Games (Lawrence, Hemsworth, Hutcherson) in person. Altogether, this was one of the best panels we've been to, and we hadn't planned to go in at all, just dumb luck walking by when we did. There's still not much out there like San Diego comic con. I won't be back there until Sunday, but I'll add some more to this after that. Hopefully, we can get a few more reports on this thread from other attendees... ____________________ Everywhere around this burg they're running out of verbs, adverbs, and adjectives.
