After spending years in an geographical area where comic cons and card shows were non-existent.....I now have seen the rise of TWO regular shows in just the last 12 months. (I will comment on the CARD shows in another thread.....)

Our fantastic, mountain valley, sometimes nutty city will be hosting its FIRST Comic Con this September!!! Finally!!! It's about time our hobby got some attention here in Utah!!! The show site has been reporting on a growing list of special guests, including Jonathan Frakes, Kevin Sorbo, Richard Hatch, etc... Below are some links for those of you interested. If we could promote this show within the ranks of this forum (if it's okay), I think that would be great!!!! Will cards be included? One can only hope.....

For those of you who follow these events, even from a distance over the net - this show starts TODAY!!! I have a 3-day pass to the event with my wife (the fact that SHE'S going, too, is the true miracle) and I will attempt to post pictures and news next week on what it was like. Hopefully it'll be a big success and will force this con into a regular, recurring event!!! Most tickets were sold out (Saturday - the day Shatner will be there), so it's looking good already!!!
