Prizes from Versicolor Prod. for Philly Show Guests
Hi All:
Versicolor Production has sent us a very special packet to give away at the Philly Show next weekend. The first 40 people paid through the door will receive this kit. We have also set aside an additional (very) small quantity for use as prizes at Sunday morning's Card Talk Member Gathering.
What will these kits contains? Several things, one of which I've been sworn to secrecy on and can not reveal until the embargo date of next Monday (5/9). I can tell you that the kits will contain an uncut sheet of Versicolor Production's The Bettie Page Private Collection preview set and several uncut sheets of Bettie promos. Plus one more item and a letter about this item.
Of course I have to miss this Philly Show. Darn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Handing them out at the NSU table makes sense because NSU will be handing out the exclusive Tudor promo at their table, not to mention less chance of them getting lost in the opening confusion as 100's beat down the doors to get in. (hopefully)
The 1st 40 packs of door promos could have the ticket enclosed.

Hi All:
As promised, I wanted to pass along more information about the contents of the kit that will be given away to the first 40 paid admissions to the Philly Non-Sports Card Show on Saturday, May 14. As I said above, each kit will contain an uncut sheet of Versicolor Production's The Bettie Page Private Collection preview series and several uncut sheets of Bettie Page Private Collection promos. And I posted above that each kit will contain one more special item.
I can now reveal the additional item is a special limited-edition promotional blank sketch card (shown above). To date, none of these have been issued due to licensing concerns but Billy at Versicolor has now received permission to do so. The lucky collectors who receive these can get one of their favorite artists to draw a Bettie sketch for them, including any of the artists at the show. And we're lucky in that we have 5 artists who worked on the series (Axebone, Ted Datick Jr, Rhiannon Owens, Sean Pence and Elaine Perna). The sketch themselves will be at the collector's cost, of course, and at the artists availability -- some artists may not have time or available source material at the show.
Also, as I noted above, a few of these will be given away Sunday morning at our NSU Card Talk member gathering.

This is outstanding! I'm actually thinking of coming up on Friday now, as my girls will be leaving for their cousin's on Friday after school. Sure would beat the heck out of coming early Saturday morning.

If it's an orderly queue (and we card collectors love order) I think it would be better to hand out the 40 whilst people are queuing. That way, all the entry bags will be the same. You just know that if they were put in the bags, at least one person will claim they were one of the 40 and didn't get the special

OK, let me clarify a few things about these kits from Versicolor that we'll be giving away Saturday morning.
They will be given away to the first 40 people in attendance 18 years old or over. You must be present to get a kit -- no buying admission for someone else to get one.
So again to be clear, you must be a) be present b) pay admission into the show c) be 18 or over.
Also...Since the mall management does not like people in the Mall before they open at 10 AM, we will be handing out numbers outside the mall at the main mall entrance. This is in the middle of the mall at the door closest to the shop called Collectors Gateway. Please form a line outside and someone will be out to hand out the numbers shortly before 10 AM. You can claim your prize at the Non-Sport Update anytime on Saturday.
And again, if you are not one of the first 40 and are signed up for Card Talk, you'll have another shot. We will be giving away a few Sunday morning there.
We really want these to go be as fair as possible without anyone getting multiples. If we haven't thought of something, or something else should pop up, we reserve the right to make further decisions Saturday morning at the show.
