Please do us a favor and be sure to use those special discount codes, no matter where you book. Not only will you get the special show discounted rate but the organizers (i.e. NSU) get acknowledged by the hotel for your booking and we can continue to offer show attendees a discounted rate.
And yes...I think I say this at least once per show but it's work repeating.
Also, Xtime~ The Hilton is 8.4 miles from the Merchants Square Mall (15 minutes). The Wingate is 4.5 miles from the MSM and the Holiday Inn is 2.5 miles from the MSM.
Unfortunately, the Wingate does not have much around it. As Laura said, the Holiday Inn is very close (walking distance) to the Allentown Brew Works. There are several other restaurants close to the Holiday Inn. And as many have said, there are also several restaurants within walking distance of the Hilton Garden Inn (Red Robin, Chess 'n' Checkers, Jack Creek Steakhouse, etc.) and that is where our NSU Card Talk meeting is held.
Hope that helps. And hope to see you at the show.
And finally, cmcdjj37....hope you can make it as well.

The ride with Mrs.Batman was cosy to say the least She put my leg in fourth gear twice
But you should have seen his face when Mrs Batman put it in Reverse!!!!!!!!

Harris, I just called The Holiday Inn and the front desk told me the parking is not free. It is a city lot and you have to pay. Can you double check on this? Also, why is the Comfort Inn not on the list this year? Thanks Michael

When I stayed there a couple of years ago it was a city lot but the Holiday Inn validated parking for their guests.

Michael:
I will check on the parking issue.
Thanks Laura for posting that. Perhaps it has changed??? I'll check.
The Comfort Suites is not on the list for a couple of reasons but one is that your boss told us that your crew was not happy with the site. It was not just that that lead us to look elsewhere but that was definitely part of it.
I won't speak for the others, but I like the idea of a hotel that has a bar and a restaurant so we don't have to worry about those who like to "have a few" This way there is no additional driving involved. Even having to walk from the hotel to another venue can be an issue. The reason we had an issue was because of the rooms themselves, not the hotel or the location per se. Hi Beamer:
We have spoken with the Holiday Inn about the parking question. The hotel has said:
Parking is included in the rate. It is set up that it automatically posts and then we adjust it off. If they spoke to central reservations parking is something that is automatically written in their description as a charge. I apologize for that but it will be included with everyone's room. Thank you!
So perhaps you spoke with someone at the national Holiday Inn office and they were not in the know on this?

Traditions are made to be broken.
I think that we deserve more variety rather than multiple orders of onion rings. So let's just say that the first round of munchies is on me.
We still need someone to replace Graham's generocity on the adult beverage front.

Why?
I say first round of drinks are still on Graham. Who agrees? I'm sure we can get the Red Robin to find Graham's credit card details from the last time. All I would have to say to the young servers over there is that English Bloke we had in here with us the last time and I am sure they will remember him!

It may be best not to mention Graham at all!

There is a vague possibility that another 'English Bloke' will be in attendence this time...
...in which case, a glass of tap water and a dozen or so straws could possibly be managed Au Res., Paul
Well, I am planning on being there this show. Just made my hotel reservation so looking forward to seeing everyone!
As traditional Tilford style, we probably will not arrive until mid Saturday afternoon and then leave 12 or 1 pm on Sunday.

If the hotel is on my way I can always pick a few people up on my way there! Not too familiar with the area so I don't know if I pass it on the way there. Probably going on Sunday.

Here's an update for everyone. If you are booking online at the Hilton Garden Inn, please use the code PNS to get the $84 rate, rather then the code that previously published. There was a snafu and the old code does not give you the special rate.
