National Sports Collectors Convention - July 31 - Aug 4
With all the talk about Comic-Con, it's easy to forget the National Sports Collectors Convention is also coming up. This is the largest sports card show annually and it moves from year to year. This year, it's at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL (Chicago).

I've heard from Bench Warmer and they will be set up at the National once again. Five Bench Warmer models will be at the National:

Mary Riley
Billie Jo Powers
Lisa Gleave
Malorie Mackey
Lisa Lakatos

I know friend of NSU and awesome sketch card artist Brian Kong will also be set up at The National as will many of the card companies who also do sports cards: Press Pass, Topps, Upper Deck, Leaf, and Panini.

Be sure to visit The National Sports Collectors Convention site for show details.

We have a brand new interview on the blog today with artist Brian Kong about his appearances at this weekend's National Sports Collectors Convention, next weekend's Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, and his art in general, for anyone who wishes to read it. Here's the link:

Wish the National would come back to the NY-NJ area. It's been like forever.

Texas is long overdue.

Houston hosted a National back in 1994! Took my younger son who was 7 yrs old at the time.

Man those were the days!
