everyone remember this for the spring show if everyone else at the show is willing I don't mind filling SASE envelopes for those card talk members out of the country that can't make the show - and they will know that I am taking the extra cards to send out and not turn and sell on the grey market something for this forum to bounce around and see what everyone thinks have 6 months to work things out hopefully I can make the show

Corrections to the Promo list displayed in this thread. It was not the Vampirella Promo that was passed out at the NSU table but the Red Sonja. There was an NSU promo for each series but the Vampirella was 1 of the 8 handed out by Tom of Breygent. Also, the Art Hustle Series 3 promo comes with three different colored stars: yellow, red & blue. Very subtle. The dealer-only signed Bench Warmer Promo sported the show logo but was not numbered. The "Get Paul to Philly" Promo was listed on the sheet as "The Sidekick Surprise". They didn't even tell me about their secret ahead of time! Finally there were 90 different of those little cards from Sidekick, not 10 as reported. they are unnumbered but do not appear to be promos. ____________________ Bill D. I have to say something about the promos given out at Breygent's table. I was sitting at his table both days. And there was only one time I didn't give someone an extra pack of promos. And the reason was his attitude. He felt I owed it to him to give him more than anyone else. I was given instructions by Tom to give out the promos to anyone who asked for them, within reason. Now, for those of you who came to the table time after time to get free promos and then go back home and sell them to make money and not support the product they make, shame on you. For that one person with the attitude, I won't forget you and you know who you are, you give promo collectors a bad name. The rest of you know that I always give extras to everyone. How about some kudos for Breygent for giving out all these cards. Just for a minute, put yourselves their shoes. They make all these cards for disribution to advertise the products at a non-sports show. Where's the support for Breygent. Remember. It's a non-sports card collecting show and not just a promo card show. And yes, some of you will inevitably say they choose to make the cards and give them out. But stop being so greedy. What's the matter? 11 promos from one manufacturer was not enough? This message has been edited. Last edited by: beamer,

Beamer - unless I am missing something I can't see anybody having a go on here. I do understand your frustration with individuals who take a handful of free promo's and then charge $3-5 for each (If they sold them for a $ wouldn't be so bad). I think Tom knows that the VAST majority on this board are card collectors who really appreciate the promo's

What with everything else that was going on, I forgot to ask Tom for some of his promos, but given what Beamer and Tom have said, it think it was exceedingly generous of Breygent to make them available (and the same goes for Rittenhouse, Cryptozoic and Sidekick, who also had promos to give away) Fear not, UK Card Talkers - I did get a few of the promos being given out (not, obviously, the Breygent ones, for which I apologise) but most of the Rittenhouse Archive cards (and in case anyone was wondering, I asked nicely!) which I will be bringing to Memorabilia in November. Hammer, You are right. Tom knows that the majority do appreciate what he and the company does for the hobby. It's just those few that have to ruin it for all. I am always very generous at the shows. I never give anyone a hard time about handing out promos (for the most part) But it is those few that get me going. I was not trying to be general, but I just wanted to let those of you out there know that there always seems to be a few who you can never please. It is kind of sad if you think about it. You try so hard to do the right thing and someone always complains.

And for those of you that could not make it to the show to get the coveted promos you can always join in on the Secret Santa and put that as one of the items you would like to get!
