Busted a case while I was bored at a show last weekend.

Odd thing was that I couldn't complete any of the chase sets. Missing 1 card from each. Will get around to posting a trade one day to round things out.

But I was very happy with the sketches

My two cases arrived. This is a fabulous card set. The base cards have excellent artwork and card stock. It would be nice to have more informative reverse, but they're still nice. All the insert sets are also great.

Even though I am strictly a DC fan and have no idea who many of the Marvel characters are, Rittenhouse does the Marvel sets much better than the DC sets (licensing approval I expect) and this X-Men set is exactly why I buy them.

On to the sketches (pretty much the order I pulled them).

- Asrar (135) Emma Frost
- Rubinstein (191) Magneto
- Molinelli (299) Cyclops
- Kyle (144) Havok
- Mercer (52) Domino
- Gonzalez (170) Prof Xavier

- Layno (98) Gambit
- Cooney (255) Beast
- Oak (51) Cyclops
- Maell (150) Bishop
- Axebone (100) Deadpool
- Kong (297) Colossus / Kitty

- Asrar (135) Jubilee
- Kong (297) Arcade
- Cleveland (291) Wolverine
- Chandler (240) Team
- Monces (99) Mystique
- Maell (150) Storm

- Mapa (100) Wolverine + ?
- Allen (149) Rogue
- Perna (103) Wolfsbane
- Postman (297) Beast ? / Spiderman
- Castrillo (150) Skrull?
- Cook (197) Cyclops and Havok origin

I not only pulled some short run artists, but also several sketches that I feel are the better work of some artists. In particular, the Chandler, Mapa and Cook sketches are fabulous.

I got two boxes recently. Pretty happy with the pulls.

N5,7,9

LH1
Buddy Prince Apocalypse Sketch

Does anyone know who did the Deadpool sketch? I took the photo with Photobooth, so the signature is actually backwards.

Overall, I am pretty happy with my pulls. I was hoping for a sketch of the original five x-men (my favorites), and I am not really a fan of Apocalypse and Deadpool, but the sketches are pretty nice. I did end up buying an extra LH1, so that is up for trade for any other Legendary Heroes chase cards besides the two that I have.

Thank you goldenavenger! I like it. It's a very traditional Storm image.

Possibly Tone Rodriguez - see the DC Legacy signature examples on my website for a comparison.

Since Justice League and Women of Star Trek keep disappearing into the future, I had to buy some more X-Men and picked up an archive box. Sketches are:

Antonio - Nightcrawler
Barbosa - Wolverine
Barnett - Rachel Summers Phoenix (a really lifelike look)
Castrillo - Belasco
Cleveland - Husk
Cook - Apocalypse

Dos Santos - Magik
Ferreira - Archangel (X-Force temporarily got me back to Marvel, so I actually remember this version of Angel)
Glendenning - Juggernaut (I really like the sense of power in this one)
Goldberg - Logan
Goulart - Warpath
HDR - Magneto

Kong - Dazzler
Medeiros - Mojo
Merlo - Beast
Molinelli - Havok
Prince - Lady Deathstryke
Rodriguez - ???
Watkins-Chow - Magneto
Wheeler - White Queen (great intimidation in the look)

And the 5 Wolverine sketches:

Ault - Wolverine in Savage Land
Campos - Captain America
di Chiara - Hulk
Ault - Sabretooth
Fowler - Gambit

A really nice range of characters and artists. Thanks to everyone who helped to identify various characters Smile

That Castrillo isn't Magneto. I believe it's Belasco.
