I'm guessing this has not been a very popular set, which likely means no future seasons will be released. The series has been renewed for a season 4 after a really great 3rd season, so I'd love to see more cards produced for them.
Anyhow, I very rarely buy boxes these days, but as a big fan of the show, I wasn't going to pass these up. Apple do such a poor job of merchandising for their shows, so it was a real nice surprise to see Foundation being picked up by Rittenhouse.
I purchased 3 boxes and I'm going to say, while the card designs look great, I was pretty disappointed with my breaks overall. Out of 9 Autographs, 5 were from the same 2 actors and 1 actor I ended up with 3 of, 1 from each box. This is where I really dislike the breaking up of autos into inscriptions, full bleeds and bordered. One of the biggest disappointments was my second box had the exact same 6 insert cards from my first box!
1st box numbered 1476
Character cards C02 Brother Day C11 Lewis Pirenne C19 Tellum Bond
Memorable Duos MD02 Gaal Dornick & Hari Seldon MD11 Brother Day & Queen Sareth
Art Gallery GA7
Autos Inscription Sandra Yi Sencindiver as Enjoiner Rue "Demerzel is a Robot" Full bleed Dino Fetcher as Glawen Curr Bordered Ella-Rae Smith as Queen Sareth
I was happy with my first box. Inscription autos are 4 per case, so that was a good pull and Queen Sareth was one of the autos I definitely wanted prior to purchasing.
Box 2 numbered 1059
Character cards C02 Brother Day C11 Lewis Pirenne C19 Tellum Bond
Memorable Duos MD02 Gaal Dornick & Hari Seldon MD11 Brother Day & Queen Sareth
Art Gallery GA7
Autos Inscription Brucella Newman- Persuad as She-is-Center "We want freedom from you" Full bleed Ella-Rae Smith as Queen Sareth Bordered Sandra Yi Sencindiver as Enjoiner Rue
Yes, so not only were the inserts identical to the first box, two out of the 3 autos were from the same actors in the first box! Absolutely awful break. Only silver lining was another Inscription auto.
Box 3 numbered 47
Character cards C08 Hugo Crast C17 Director Sermak C25 She-Bends-Light
Autos Full bleed Oliver Chris as Director Sermak Bordered Kit Rakusen as Josiah Full bleed Ella-Rae Smith as Queen Sareth (different image to box 2 full bleed)
Man, was I disappointed to pull the final auto and have it be Ella-Rae Smith again! Buying 3 boxes and getting the same actor in each box was such a downer. Especially considering the cost of getting these imported into Australia with expensive shipping and Tax on top of it. Not to mention the conversion rate. I was hoping to pull at least 2 of my really wanted autos in Laura Birn and Lou Llobell. Now I'll have to buy them individually, plus a few others I was looking to collect. Not to mention the rest of the inserts considering one box was complete duplicates.
I also noticed many packs with duplicate base cards. Some of the sorting seemed very dubious. I was able to complete 4 base sets from the 3 boxes with plenty of dupes left over.
I see a lot the autos aren't selling for too much online, but the conversion, shipping and tax still makes it quite expensive for overseas collectors.
Did anyone else purchase this product? What are your thoughts? This message has been edited. Last edited by: H_Toser,

I'm sorry you didn't get a little more variety. I agree with you, it is a great show, I'd say definitely in the top 5 of all series currently airing. I went ahead a bought a Demerzel autograph outright and plan to get Gaal, Salvor, Dawn, and Dusk shortly, while they're still widely available.

It's such a great show. I am doing the same thing as you. I've picked up Demerzel and Dawn and will be looking for for a few more to complete my auto collection. I've also picked up a couple of the metal cards.

I just won auctions for a different Demerzel, a Gaal, three different Salvors, two Dusks, and a Dawn. Counting the other Demerzel I got before, I'm in a total of $237.
I'm going to get a Glawen Curr, Queen Sareth, and a Poly Verisof and I'm good with those as my collection. Those final three won't cost musch, so for my purposes, it turned out to be a whole lot better to have bought singles autos from this set as opposed to sealed boxes since the 9 autographs I have are better than anything I could've pulled from roughly 2.5 sealed boxes for the same price.
Besides Day and Hari Seldon, obviously, I'm also bummed they missed Brother Constant, Hober Mallow, and Bel Riose, but I do already have an autograph card of the latter from a Star Wars set, and also this season's Mule, who previously signed for Game of Thrones.

Oh, I was watching those auctions and then completely forgot about them when I was stuck at work! That's great you were able to pick up some good bargains there. It's certainly a much better option dollar wise to buy the individual autos because the only signer with decent value is Laura Birn and even then, they aren't that expensive. I'm surprised many of them are going cheap, but I guess that shows there isn't a whole lot of interest in the set, which is unfortunate.
I have received my Laura Birn canvas auto, which is a really nice looking card. I also received the Brother Day metal card, inwhich Rittenhouse really did get the name wrong, they have named him Brother Dawn. I thought it might have been an error on the set check list, but it is infact an error on the card. Nice shiny effect on the card though in the right light.
I do wonder if those actors were approached and declined to sign? It certainly would have helped having half a dozen more signers than stretching out the ones they had into different formatted autos. Very limited with the costume cards as well, which means they must have found it difficult to get approval for any to be removed from the set. They only used characters that are no longer on the series after season 2.
