As with Island of Dr. Moreau, the box graphic is very cool looking and is depicted as a cut-out card on the box bottom.
There was also an extra card representing what would have been the box card for War of the Worlds secured (in holder)to this box.
The Time Machine is a Wells classic!
A terrific story with, I think, the best art in the series.
I was one card shy of five base sets #d 1-27 in the series plus numbered checklist cards for each.
All of the promos for the three series are included in packs.
1 background card on the Concept of the time machine in sci-fi.
1 Redemption card for a recording of an Old Time Radio Time Machine broadcast.
(Just a note)For those of you unfamiliar with the OTR shows, there is some amazing listening to be found.
1 Redemption card for a limited uncut series sheet.
1 sketch/auto card

The work that must have gone into this series is very obvious. These are cards you can really spend some time enjoying. Classic stories and terrific art. Monsterwax gets a standing ovation for The Art of H.G. Wells!

Got this box as well today, (see my report on Island of Dr. Moreau).

Once again, a beautifully done box, and taped to the outside, the "box bottom" card for War of the Worlds, which came in a plain white box. The card is un-numbered and blank backed.

The 27 card set is nicely done, and there is a hand numbered checklist card to make it 28 cards.

I got 6 complete sets w/checklists, and the numbers match my sets from the other 2 series.

Inserts:
1 complete set of 6 promos for all three series.
2 promos for "Don't Let It Happen Here"
1 Uncut Sheet Prize card - containing both series including inserts, and 15 cards from an upcoming series.
1 Time Machine Prize Card - of an old radio broadcast of The Time Machine
1 Time machine Concept Card - background on Time travel
1 Sketch/auto card, with Garijo's signature on one side, and an original sketch on the back - I got a color sketch of the hero facing a Morlock in a tunnel.

Overall, I recommend thesecards to anyone who enjoys sci-fi and nicely done art. The redemption cards for both sets are for free items, but there is a fee for shipping. ($8.50 for the uncut sheet, but it is a full size sheet and comes in a mailing tube)

Well done Kurt, it was a long wait, but a nicely done series.

I finaly got my cards.

They was everything Mike-Fitz said.

I got 6 sets and the same inserts as Mike.
I also got two extra promos from the Don't Let It Happen Here Set.

Kurt from Monsterwax said they tried very hard to match all three series for there customers.
