Purchased a box and found 18 cards missing for a base set. I contacted Upper Deck and was told that they donot have single cards for replacement, and told to buy more packs.

Sorry but I think you picked the wrong product if you expected a base set.

It's a 90 card base with 100 cards in 20 packs per box. However each pack has an insert or parallel card and there are 3 other hits. Can't complete the base in a single box no matter how you look at it.

Have to trade or buy the missing ones. I never even saw these cards, but I wasn't exactly looking for them either.

Can you post the base cards that you are missing? I just bought 7 boxes and need to make a base set for myself but should have plenty of duplicates to help you out.
