I recently blogged about this set when I read it was coming out. Somehow it swooped in under my radar. So I ordered a box on a whim this week. Gotta say I'm pretty pleased with it, so much so that I have no doubt I'll be purchasing more.


Here's the breakdown of box #265/3000:

12 clear base cards (no doubles)

4 foil chase cards (no doubles)

1 box topper (BT3 - Dumbledore)

at least 1 set of 54 base cards (*edited - after final sort, had three sets of the 54-card base set)

this may not be the proper place to ask this, but does anyone know what the deadline is/was for sending in redemptions for the half-blood prince sets (regular and update)? i'm considering picking up some boxes of them, too, since they are still available, but if redemptions are outdated, not sure i want to take a chance.

Well, the expiration date for H&V is July 1, 2011, so I'm guessing that the redemptions are good for a year. Which means the ones for the first HBP set will probably be expiring soon, but you should have until November for the HBP Update set. But don't quote me on that because I am not very familiar with Artbox redemptions.

i believe the deadline for hbpu was july 1, 2010 (i am sitting on an alecto auto redemption i just pulled, too). however, if they have them in stock, artbox is usually very good about redeeming stuff after the redemption has expired.

artbox answered my e-mail saying, "Please disregard the expiration dates on the cards, and send it into us. We will be happy to redeem the cards with the original autographs."

so maybe i'll get some HPB cards, too.
