A few nice cards there.

Do prefer the Kirk Spock McCoy era stuff and will have to try and find some McCoy costume cards.

Looks like a piece from the centre of the Romulan Logo. Smile

Picked up a nice McCoy costume card for $5 the other day so got my McCoy card I wanted. I'm amazed how cheap some of these costume cards are.

I do have a question before posting my breakdown.

Are the cards with the poster backs and no card numbers on them part of the base set or what?

I am missing 10 cards from my base set and I suspect these might be them but why no card numbers?

Any help is appreciated.

Mike.

Hey Mike, you might have already answered your question but I'll give a reply just in case.

The cards without a card number are part of the base set and likely the 10 cards you need to complete your base set. The base set comprises of 9 cards per movie for a total of 90 cards. When you sort your cards in 9 pocket sheet protectors and look at the backsides of the cards, you'll see they form the movie poster from the specific movie the cards represent. All of the cards without a number are the center cards. I suppose the reason why the center cards weren't numbered was to give a clear image of the movie poster.

I hope that helps. Congrats on your box breakdown! Thumb Up

Michael

Just opened up two boxes purchased off of eBay, as follows:

Box #9962
Autographs - A8, A27
Costume cards - MC6 (421/1701), MC13 (605/1701)
Behind the Scenes - B3
Character Logs - C1
Gold Plaque - G9
Lenticular - L9
Profiles - P13, P20
Plot Synopsis - S14, S19, S22

Box #4972
Autographs - A18, AA21
Costume cards - MC6 (422/1701) Frown, MC8 (1266/1701)
Behind the Scenes - B9
Character Logs - C7
Gold Plaque - G3
Lenticular - L6
Profiles - P7, P12
Plot Synopsis - S6, S16, S29

While it was kind of a drag to receive duplicate costume cards, it was pretty cool to get numbers on them that were sequential.

All in all, a pretty good looking product. The number of inserts is a killer, though, since the shops in my area don't carry these cards. So, I will either buy them on eBay or not worry about completing the insert cards, especially the one-to-a-box cards. I also find the numbering scheme very confusing. I have to put them in pocket pages to make sure I have the cards right. Roll Eyes

The same thing happened in 2 of my 3 boxes.

Again it was MC6 nos. 749 & 750 !!

How strange - what is it with these Uhura costume cards? Confused

Thanks gofmauleg, I figured it was something like that. I just hate cards without numbers, but I understand what they were trying to do...

My Take
Not a big fan of this set overall, my father was a trekkie of sorts so I am by nature a fan but I didnt like the order of the cards when you put them in binders(I usually put them in top left to bottom right, not bottom left to bottom right).
The borders were "eh" around the scenes.

Overall though it was a very good classic Ritten House set - great coallation and variety of inserts. I also busted a box of Transformers Movie Cards but nothing to even write about there... Oh Megan Fox, WHERE ARE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
