Picked up a case, although debating whether I really want to crack it all as the value doesn't really seem to be there and with only 8 auto's to chase I'd probably do much better opening say half of the case, and filling in the auto gaps on the secondary market. After the first 4 boxes I had a Mini-Master Set. Overall the cards are in very good condition, I've only come across 2 cards so far that appear to have been factory dented. No production issues besides that, and collation is absolutely excellent! I am however a little disappointed that the Promo cards seem to be the same images that were used in the base set.

So who's got a Jamie-Lynn DiScala auto or an Aida Turturro auto to spare?

Our case arrived yesterday afternoon and since it's close to 90 and very humid the wife decided to stay indoors. While I trudged off to work she turned all her energy into busting boxes and making sets. Since she did such a great job I can now give everyone a detailed breakdown including the number of complete base sets.

Here is what we got:
24 Complete Base Sets, 8 cards short of a 25th set, 22 extra cards, which is very good, not alot of waste.
While I'm not a huge fan of mirror foil finish cards this set isn't to bad. The silver, black, red scheme that Inkworks chose isn't to garish and they got just the right color mix. The backs are extremely well done and the numbers are extremely easy to read, which is a very big deal when it comes to sorting a case or more of product.

4 Complete Sets of "Business is Business" Box Loaders. Not a bad set, but may I suggest making a box loader that doesn't resemble your base card.

3 Complete "Le Belle Donne" Foil Embossed Sets, with extras BD-3, BD-4, and BD-5. An attractive set with some very neat embossing done on the words "Le Belle Donne."

2 Complete "Family Matters" Foil Puzzle sets. We were short an FM-9, for a complete 3rd set. This is a montage so you really have a puzzle within a puzzle and it's very well done.

We received only 11 autographs in our 12 boxes, but since the odds state "randomly inserted" on the box we will grin and bare it just as we SMILED when we got the extra sketchcard in the ROBOTS case.

With duplicates of the top 3 signers we are quite pleased.

The case loader isn't anything special and I would be interested to hear why Inkworks felt that David Chase deserved a card. It's true that they did make a Case Loader for Joss Whedon, but that was autographed and it was the very last season.

I am sure this set will be well received by fans of this show and it's appeal to the nonsport collector will also be high as it's a very attractive set.

Oh, I forgot to mention, this is one of the nicest boxes Inkworks has ever done and the cigar format worked really well on this product.

The odds on the back of the packs list the Family Matters as 1:11 and the LBD as 1:14. Still, I guess I did OK. Good luck in finishing your set otim!

Huh, didn't even think to check as the 1:17 has become so common an insertion ratio for the 6 card chase set...in any case you beat the odds, or at least ended up on the good side of them by getting 2 1:14's out of 24 packs!
