Unstoppable turned this one into a nightmare for completionists. Cracked open my case of Highlander Edition 2

Production numbers 799 boxes + 99 combo boxes. A case = 8boxes + 1 combo box a balance of approx 100 cases.

Based on box numbers there are approx 650 edition 1 base sets and 900 15 card expansion sets. Leaving 250 edition 2 sets without a home.

CT1-3 One set (case topper, not entirely sure how many official cases were made due to release types)
CC 1-4 x2 +additional #3 (Cast Card 1-4 / 2 sets per case plus one extra)
CC 5-7 # to 99 (1 set per combo box/case)
CC 1-4 metal additional #4 (Cast Card metal 1-4 / I set per case plus one extra)
METR 1-4 #4 numbered to 33 (Metallic Red set 1-3 / 99 sets.....card 4 numbered to 33)
METG 1-4 #4 numbered to 33 (Metallic Gold set 1-3 / 99 sets.....card 4 numbered to 33)
METS 1-4 X3 additional #3 #4 numbered to 33 (Metallic Silver set 1-3 / 333 sets....card 4 numbered to 33)
PC 7-9 (Balance out to 3 sets per 8 boxes or 300 sets there are approx 100 PC 1-6 sets)
BTS 7-9 (Balance out to 3 sets per 8 boxes or 300 sets there are approx 100 BTC 1-6 sets)
FC 7-9 (Balance out to 3 sets per 8 boxes or 300 sets there are approx 100 FC 1-6 sets)
4 Sketch cards 2 nice 1 ok and 1 meh (2 are numbered which I am not entirely sure what that means)
Redemption card for Sketch card.
Promo Holland Comic Con 46/100
Promo Web 1 and Web 2
Avengers Promo
Hammer Promo

Autos (Minus Clancy Brown the two releases did about the best they could to give us everyone still living)

2 Christopher Lambert/Hugh Quarshie BWLQ1 3/10 and 5/10
1 Bertie Edney BWFBE1
2 Roxanne Hart BWFRH1
1 Hugh Quarshie BWHQ1
1 Hugh Quarshie BWHQ2 4/38
1 Celia Imrie BWFCI1
1 Andy Bradford BWAB1
1 Ian Reddington BWBH2 9/40
1 Sion Tudor Owen BWSTO1
1 Sion Tudor Owen BWSTO2 37/44
1 Alistair Findlay BWAF2 23/44

Once again my overall impression of the product is good. The design is great and has been adjusted just enough to distinguish between the two releases. Really dig on the metal cards and their variances. Nice to see unstoppable dumped the cut cards, sadly the ugliest auto cards in this set are the duo sig cards. Just baffles me that someone can look at that design and go "nice!" I do feel it a bit bitter sweet that I pulled two of them. Would some type of image be too much to ask?

Guess I spoke too soon. Looks like the Sean Connery cut that was advertised for the first edition has finally shown up on ebay as part of the new release.

Still a super ugly card with no images of the character. Will be interesting to see what it sells for.

2 of those Sean Connery cuts have appeared on ebay. I like the ones that Rittenhouse did for their final Bond set much better !

Speaking about the Bond card, I haven't seen many up for auction in awhile, and now suddenly there are 7 on ebay. All $ 3,000 and up. No recent sales

I believe back in 2017, the estimate was that about 40 were made, and yet 7 are up for sale now

I know one of the sell sheets for the first series had Clancy and Sean listed for an extremely low number of cuts. It is just difficult for me to consider these beastly things as autograph cards. They are more like uniquely framed cuts.

At least the RA ones are designed with the card collector in mind.

Judging by what is available it would appear that Clancy Brown is a tough autograph to get. Maybe at some point I will find a clean enough sig to make my own cut. Arguably I consider him the best character in the film so it's a tough pill to swallow not having him in the set.

Still, hats off to unstoppable for what they managed to pulled together on a title that is nearly 40 years old. Looking forward to the new film with Henry Cavill.
