Actually I do completely agree with you Hammer but if you had to make the decision to fold your business or announce you're putting out a product containing surplus stock against a bit of criticism, what would you do?

Strictly Ink released Yearboxes twice to clear out excess stock and unreleased items, they a little bit of criticism as we all know but from their point of view, was probably a nice little earner!!!

Chuck No problem. It made my head hurt typing everything up but helps me get a head start in listing it all. I have four more cases to bust this weekend and add to the list which will really make everyone's head hurt!

My two boxes finally arrived! My son and I had a lot of fun. He went crazy over the Casey Kasem auto from Scooby-doo! He yelled, "We got Shaggy!". I loved this and will likely grab another box or two. The only drawback is that I collected a lot of Inkwoks so I got a lot of duplications!

My only dud box was the Scooby Doo one, which was surprising. There were probably only 1-2 duds per case, and I happened to get one. The Michael Emerson was a great way to finish the boxes.

I should note that this break also included 2 extra boxes from 2 separate Vault boxes. A box of 4400 Season 2, and a box of Journey To The Center of the Earth.

Overall, I liked most of the autos and boxes, Mimi Rodgers, Joel Grey, Robin Sachs, and Ian McShane autos were great, but comparing my haul to some already listed, there were a lot of unknowns and poor mix overall. One box had the Family Guy box, with no auto or sketch and 4400 and 2 Lost autos, a disapointment. I'm sticking to the Target Memorabilia packs from now on.

I opened several cases of Scooby Mysteries and Monsters and found there were usually 4 dud boxes in a case, which was kind of odd as a couple of the other boxes in the case would invariably have both a Sketch card and an Autograph card.

That was a rare time Inkworks could have packed the cards a little more carefully. If they had, there'd be fewer dud boxes of Scooby M&M out there. But on the flipside, it's great when your box is one of those (I'd say odds are about 1 in 5-6 boxes) that has the 2 hits.
I'm just glad there's no redemption in that set, because I'm always looking to upgrade my sketch set, and sealed boxes offer a chance to do so. It's still one of my favorite sets.

I've got my four "Vaults" coming and am really looking forward to them, based on some of the great stuff coming out of them. I'll be sure to post here once I've got them.

But even if I don't get any huge hits, I'm still glad all of these cards will be in collectors' hands and not in a back room somewhere. Sure their values may suffer a bit now, but its a great buying opportunity for collectors, and in the end, values on a lot of them will go right back up.

At the end of the day, Inkworks autograph cards were nicely designed, most are "on-card" autos and they were great at getting the big signatures and a resonable amount of them. This and the Razor Ink archives Breaks thread have both been excellent reminders of that. Keep 'em coming folks!
