I finished opening my case and was thrilled that in addition to the PR-2 redemption card I also pulled the Prop card. Woo Hoo! #34/107. I've edited my original post.

I hope to be posting some notes from my 2 boxes that should arrive on Monday.

Just opened one of my boxes that I ordered (the second box has apparently been delayed...). Got a complete base set and one card shy of a second base set. Inserts were as follows:

Leader of Slayers - L1
Forever - F2, F3
Pieceworks - PW9
Recollections - R5

No Friends Forever, map card, or stake card. However, I have hopes set high for the second box...

Overall, a very nice set. I love the "Season 8" cards and the "Have Faith" cards as well as Joss' Notes. I wish I had pulled a Propworks card, but I am very pleased with the PR-1 and FF-2 pulls.

Opened my second box, and got a full base set, with one missing from a second base set. Chase cards were:

Leader of Slayers - L2
Forever - F3, F4
Pieceworks - PW8
Recollections - R6, R7

Better than stated odds on the Recollection cards, which was nice.

Overall, this is a pretty good set. I especially like the Season 8 and Have Faith cards. Off to the auction site to get the remaining chase cards to complete my set....

Thanks Raj... I got that one already. Do you have a scan of the front of the card as well?

Is the chip locked inside the card or is it loose like the Looney Tunes chip cards?

It's loose, sandwiched in plastic.

One of my dealers had a box at my sport card show today so I broke down and bought it even though I have 2 being delivered tomorrow.

Yes, they are part of the basic set. The "Joss Notes" are at the end of each 9-card run, with short notes on the back about some aspect of a particular episode or scene. Not really any new information, just his musings.
