Opened two boxes #1186 and # 7190

2 base sets
Charlie X- 8.3, 8.9
Portraits- PT21, PT22, PT25, PT26, Pt27, Pt35
Expaission Cards- 96, 97, 98, 99
Stickers- S3, S7, S8, S12
Autos- A144, A172, A172, A181, A181, A188

Nice set but my usual luck. I mean that I've adjusted to getting common autos but doubles on common autos in just two boxes.BUMMER!!

I did get what RA said I would, so I can't really complain.

I didn't keep track of my case breaks to post, but in 3 cases I did have 1 box that had doubles in it.

They were in different boxes. Like I said it's just my luck to get 2 boxes with the same two autos in each box. A long shot but just my bad luck.

Let's not try to make this into something it isn't!

Six boxes, taken from three cases a friend acquired. I don't know yet whether they were all from the same case or two from each case, but I certainly had an unfortunate amount of duplication on the chase cards. But I'll just trade with her for the missing numbers. Boxes hold 24 packs of 7 cards. Expect 1.43 base sets of 110 if collation were perfect; Rittenhouse guarantees a complete base set. 12 boxes per case; 9000 numbered boxes.

You ever notice you get great pulls if you don't really care much about what you are opening?
I bought 6 packs of this because I was in sampling mode and with autos 1:8 packs it wouldn't take too much luck to hit something. Out of my measly 6 packs I pulled a Majel Barrett auto as computer voice A155, Very Limited. That makes 2 very limited autos from my last 11 rittenhouse packs where I could pull an auto (got a Lucy Lawless as punk girl auto from 5 packs of spider-man 3) Razz

By the way, note that there were two versions of A149, from two different episodes. They used different numbers when actors were portrayed in different roles, but Baldavin's were both Ensign Martine. Probably neither one of them was scarce because I pulled two of one type and one of the other from six boxes.

thank you for the great post allender.

i noticed a pattern emerging from your pulls based on the box#

i decided to take a closer look at the case i opened for box sales, and i noticed something very interesting.

here are the #s from one case of unopened boxes:
0735
1708
2732
3738
3739
4730
5726
5727
6730
7731
8279
8278

it appears these cases are built by pulling one box from each stack of 1000 boxes in a precise order, plus three extras to fill out the case.(why the 8's are 82xx not 87xx is baking my noodle right now)

mathmatically it takes as few as 9 boxes to complete a mini-master set without the autos. judging by your repeats of all the boxes in the 8xxx, i speculate that there is a pattern wherin the first 1000 boxes contain inserts a,b,c, the second thousand boxes contain d,e,f,..and so on.... that is probably why a case has at least one box from each 1000. but your 6 and 7 boxes were almost identical, so this throws a wrench in the pattern.
i am assuming the auto's are random (but they may not be becuase you got the same autos in 7837 and 8174)

i think everyone should post breaks as detailed as yours. if i see a few more posts as detailed as yours im shure i can crack the code. a few dozen more and a pattern for autos will emerge(if there is one)

as it stands right now i am thinking i could open 9 of my boxes and get a complete mini-master set. that is probably why i have seen so many 3 box lots on ebay.

sorry about all your dupes, i don't think they came from the same case. im tempted to open my other cases but i must keep them sealed for case buyers. i decided not to open packs of this product so i cant test my theory right now, but if i change my mind i will post my findings.

Unfortunately, there is a problem with this logic.

Robert at Rittenhouse has told me personally that the stickers are not put on the boxes in sequential order. They are random.

If Robert is to be believed, and I have no reason not to, then there are no stacks of each 1000 boxes.

Box #0376:

110 Base Card Set
47 Duplicates

Autographs A171 Pamelyn Ferdin, A172 Michael Pataki & A181 Steve Marlo

Charlie X G8

Stickers S11 Talosian & S14 Khan

Profiles PT25 Walter Koenig, PT30 Morgan Woodward & PT42 William Windom

Expansion 93 & 98

All and all about what I expected, Rittenhouse is pretty consistant. I may try my luck with the autos again.

Oh, and if anyone cares Pamelyn Ferdin did a little doodle of a smiling, curly headed girl in the "P" of her signature. She was the kid in "And the Children Shall Lead" episode so I guess that's a little extra.

Was that an intentional Star Trek "47" joke?

Finally got my box today #5651 of 9000.

One base set plus extras

Portaits:
PT20 Spock
PT28 Sarek
PT33 Sylvia

1967 Expansion:
97 USS Enterprise
98 SS Valiant ship recorder

Sticker cards:
S3 Dr McCoy
S4 Scotty

Charlie X episode card:
EPB.7

Autos:
A177 Melvin Caesar Belli as Steve in "And the children shall lead"
A179 Craig Huxley as Tommy Starnes in "And the children shall lead"
A182 Erik Holland as Ekor in "Wink of an eye"

I also got a binder.

A really nice set with plenty of chase cards to keep my wife and I opening pack after pack. I like the images that the card backs make although I appreciate that this might not be to everyones taste. Another worthy Star Trek set from Rittenhouse IMO with enough touches to maintain interest.

I opened box #1692 of 9000 today, and got the following:

Autograph cards - A148 (Louise Sorel), A164 (Stewart Moss), A180 (Irene Kelly)
1967 Expansion - 95, 97
"Charlie X" - C16
Profiles - PT20, PT23, PT41
Stickers - S2, S4
Base set - one complete with extras

All in all, a pretty good set and a decent box pull. Probably gonna be it for me on boxes, though, as I don't want all the extra cards and sets lying around. Off to the auction site I go....

Box0348/9000
Portrait cards love these ) PT20, PT28 & PT33
Where no man Has Gone Before Expansion set:#91 & 104
Stickers: Khaaaaaaaan & Talosian
Charlie X: card 803 (24)
Autographed cards:
  • 145 Julie Cobb
  • 149 Barbara Baldavin
  • 173 Sid Haig ( unusual signature , It reast as Pump)?

So no Limited auto Cards in the 1st box. With high hopes I reach for the 2nd box.

    Box 4346/9000
    PT19, PT23 & PT41
    WNMHGB exp #92 & 104
Stickers Captain Pike & Nurse Chapel
    Charlie X #8.1(22)
    Auto cards:
  • #142 Felix Silla
  • #156 Arnold Lessing
  • #171 Pamelyn Fertin ( with a curly headed face in the P)

Once again no Limited Autos, but at least no Dupes. Surely somthing in my 3rd Box?

    Box 3 4347/9000
    Autographed cards:
  • 162 Barbara Luna
  • 163 Jan Shutan
  • 188 James Daris

Really dissapointed that I didn't pull any Limited autos but worse than that, to add insult to injury ALL THE OTHER INSERTS CARD WERE IDENTICAL TO THE PREVIOUS BOX #4346.
Every singe one! What's up with that? I expect better collation from RA especially as the two boxes were next to each other numerically and as such were probably from the same case.
