Got my box today, here's what was inside box 7370:
1 full set of Star Trek Into Darkness, 110 cards
10 extras
2 Silver parallels, numbered to 200
1 Gold parallel, numbered to 100

10 out of 110 Star Trek cards
2 Sliver parallels, numbered to 200
1 Gold parallel , numbered to 100

1 Folding Character card F7

1 Relic card RC10, Kirk, numbered 204/300

2 autographs
Sonia Henry as Kelvin Doctor
Jason Matthew Smith as Burly Cadet

Was a little bummed not to get at least a limited auto, but happy to pull a costume/relic card. This will be an almost impossible set for completists, perhaps a full case will yield a full set of Star Trek.
The cards are beautiful, with a white border, and parallels are nicely done. No badge card, but those are 1/3 boxes. Overall a nice set, and some great inserts.

It's not shocking. It's downright shoddy. What kind of message does this send to those that haven't bought yet? Barge pole springs to mind Shake Head There could have been no quality control whatsoever.

What about this guy on the RA forums?
He broke 6 cases and got only THREE dupes of the gold cards ...) 72 of one of the golds out of 72 and 69 of 72 of the other gold set. He got one each of the 5 EL's in his 6 cases and a good smattering of autos.
Yeah, all around the quality control just SUCKED...not so much.
No one likes to be the guy that gets less then a good case. I don't want it for anyone, I doubt RA wants it for anyone. But, to call a production run of 10,000 shoddy, no quality control and whatever else was used based on ONE case breakdown seems a bit hasty in my opinion.

My opinion as me, not my opinion as a moderator.

assuming perfect collation, it would take slightly over 9 cases to make a master set. As the golds are 1:1 box, that's 9.16 cases for the gold.
Now silvers shouldn't be that high, of course.

I don't wish bad collation on anyone and I'd be silly to think there were never ever any issues with any given product. I just was startled to see one case break doom the mood of a full run.
BTW< to the person who got 9 dupes, email me at lynne@jklm.net and I'll trade out your dupes for ya, no strings!
