I don't understand why borders are on the cards when almost every artist draws beyond them. Why not just put a logo on it and be done with it?

How successful is this, the first of three sets celebrating Marvel's 75th, when the only box/case breaks are in low single figures, with the big buyers going straight to Ebay? The nigh impossible-to-get chase could have put a lot of people off.

The cards are designed to look like comic book art pages which have borders on them.

I broke a case. As well as the assorted standard insert sets and parallels:
> Greatest Battles extension red 97 99 101 106
> Greatest Battles extension gold 95 106
> diamond parallel 51 (Layla Miller 05/10)
> 75th anniversary 10 (Dr Strange 08/75) and 61 (Thor 19/75)

THX to Raj and barobehere for identifications

Confer - Hulk / Ragland - Deadpool / Ballard - Cyclops
Antonio - Onslaught vs Firestar / Sumbing - Mystique / Morales - Thing
Snell - Wonder Man / Calloway - Juggernaut / Molinelli - Xavier
Racho - Wasp / Fodra - ??? / Magno - Thor

I thought the set is excellent - great design on the base cards (though probably nicer with the blue than the yellow). I am not a big fan of parallels but at least it gives collectors with different levels of interest something to collect. The various extensions are a good way of bringing together several different Rittenhouse Marvel sets but can be completely ignored if wanted.

The Confer looks like the latest version of Drax the Destroyer (soon to be seen in the Guardians of the Galaxy film).
The Antonio is Firestar Vs ???
The Snell is Wonder Man (Simon Williams)

Onslaught vs. Firestar.
The first card could be The Hulk during the House of M storyline.
