I happened to stop by my local comic book store today and they got a couple of boxes in. I didn't get the best look but I believe the box was serially #'d /18000. I have a few boxes on order, but I went ahead and bought a few packs anyway. Here is what the sketch and costumes look like.

Case number 1 is in the books (my buddy and I are going partners on 2 cases) and I can say that the costume coalation sucked...6 Dr. Doom, 4 Thing and 2 Human Torch (I sure hope that the other case is Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman heavy). I was also only able to put together 3 of each of the foil sets...oh yeah, and 3 sets of duplicate artists for sketches.

Enough complaining, here are the goods...

Tiger Shark by ?

Sabertooth and Iron Fist (I think) by Brent Schoonover

Wolverine and Elektra by ? (sig looks kinda familliar)

Polaris and Scarlet Witch by Carlo Soriano

Thor by Jake Minor

Hulk by ? (again the sig looks familliar)

Hulk by Pat Carlucci

Chameleon by Don Pedicini Jr.

Cyclops by Tom Feister (25)

Any help on the unknowns is always helpful

There is an oversized (5x7 or 4x6) box topper card. I opened 5 boxes last night and have 4 different so far. Don't see anything on UD website about them, so thinking we'll need checklist. So far: X-men villians, Scarlet Witch, X-men, and forgot the 4th as at work now.
I also noticed that there's Retail chase: Hulk B&C, IM B&C.

.. and btw, I got 1 of each costume so great break on that. UD also added another 3 packs per box with thick filler card to make cherry pickers think twice. Got all decent sketches, 1 nicer than others. Did quick scan of the base cards; I found a wide variance in how I liked those images.

There are 5 box toppers:

X-Men Villains
The X-Men
Spider Woman
Scarlet Witch
Dr. Strange

I opened 6 boxes (with three more coming tomorrow) and I got 4 Dr. Doom Costumes and 2 Mr. Fantastic so I did horrible there. For Sketches I got Two Rich Woodalls (Hulk/Human Torch) Spencer Blinkeroff Lizard, Otis Frampton (No Clue) an unsigned Namor, and a really nice color Hulk by Tony Parker (no, not the french rapper and NBA star)

Thanks! It was made better by the news that Don Pedicini Jr. only did 24 cards.

2 Boxes from the local Wednesday show:

Box 1

Sketch - Dud! Confused
Costume Card - Human Torch

Box 2

Sketch - Nightcrawler artist unknown

Costume Card - The Thing

Another sketch from the box Big Grin

The Nar sketch was in a penny sleeve within the pack. I was thrilled to pull one. I never thought I would ever pull one of his masterpieces. I would have to say that this pull makes up for being skunked in the previous box.

I thought NAR's were only being given a case incentives?

What's the deal with this?

You must be thinking of the Fantastic Four release from Rittenhouse I belive. The Nar's are a 10 case incentive for that set.

I love this set. The cards are amazing. I got the Invisible Woman piecework Clap

I also got a sketch from the same artist as above, Blair Shedd. I like the quality of his work.

Ah! Thanks for helping me identify the artist! I really like his style. His use of grey for shadowing is great!

That Kingpin vs Spidey is perfect! Very nice pull.
