I got the 1st 4 boxes of CA series that I'll be receiving. Ive opened 2 boxes so far. # 12 Eek & # 7013.
My breakdowns were the same as above.
4 GE cards, 2 MH cards, 1 LH & 1 sketch per box.
The 2 sketches Ive opened so are are a Hulk by Rubenstein, & a Grim Reaper by Goodmanson.
Wrappers are worth 1 point each in this release.

I must say that Rittenhouse did an excelent job on these cards. The layout is great. Nice reproduction of the art on the front. The card back has the cover of the issue the art on front is from & info about the story in that issue. The insert cards are great. Very nicely done & executed. This is what I want from a comic set.

BRAVO Rittenhouse.

***UPDATE***
I opened the other 3 boxes. I have more comming, but thats it for now. Sketches I got were:
Tom Nguyen-Photon (Ithik thats the name "microwave girl")
Uko Smith-Wasp
John Jackman-Warbird

2 Case Summary

Greatest Enemies- 9 Complete sets
Mightiest Heroes- 1 Complete sets
Legendary Heroes- 1 Complete sets
Sketches- 23 color sketches by 19 different artists (had 2 sketches by each of 4 artists) and 1 Stan Lee Pencil Sketch.

No problems with the Greatest Enemies inserts, 9 complete sets is pretty good and out of 2 cases that was the only time I beat the odds on number of inserts (1 box had 5). Only made 1 Mightiest Heroes set, 3 cards from a second, lots of repetition of these in boxes. Only made 1 Legendary Heroes set, kept getting LH2 over and over, 1 card short of a second set.

I went from a disappointed low when I hit the box with no sketch to a happy high when the next box had a Stan Lee sketch (and a really nice Guy Dorian too). I can barely even remember the last time I got an RA box that was missing a major card, they are usually very good with making the stated odds but then I suppose I normally only get 1-4 boxes so the chances are less.

According to the box series number is only 8000 boxes made, but if you add together how many sketches all the artist made is over 10,000; so did RA keep the rest for replacement or is more boxes made? Also the Stan Lee is a bonus or is part of the one box sketch?? Confused Hope is a bonus Big Grin

I asked that very question way back and the Stan Lee is a bonus. The guarantee is a color sketch per box and the Stan Lee's are pencil sketches, the 1 I pulled had a color Guy Dorian in the box as well.

Scans coming after lunch. Big Grin

From Rittenhouse on Archive Boxes which contain 10 sketch cards ea:

quote:
Randomly inserted into the cases. One Archive Box per every 25 cases. The tricky part is that half of the Archive Boxes made are "hidden" with the sticker on the inside bottom of the box, so you don't know you have one till you open it.

Got home to find my box waiting for me. Great after a day of medical misadventures such as being squished in an MRI! Any way my box came from fyi and was #669.
Greatest Enemies (1:10)- GE3, GE4, GE6, GE7
Mightiest Heroes (1:20)- MH1, MH18
Legendary Heroes (1:40)- LH2
Sketch- Grant Gould (251)

Added the back as I noticed the discussion over in news thread about the colour bleeding through to the back.

Now I don't know what I'll do about the sketch card. I was hoping for a female character especially Black Widow or Tigra so orginally I'd intended trading if I got a male character but I'm not sure I can part with the card now that it is in my hands! BTW who is the guy? I never read the Avengers unless an X-men character was in the issue.

general request - would it be possible for posters to specify which character as well as the artist of their sketch?

and for comicbookfan, your sketch is Dane Whitman, the Black Knight. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Knight_%28Dane_Whitman%29 for details.

Incarnadine, I LOVE your Rodriguez Ant-Man sketch! Did you get a two-case incentive card? If so, what page was yours from?

comicbookfan: though the Black Knight is not one of my favorite characters, the artwork on your sketch is amazing! I wouldn't mind if I pull a sketch like that!
