I don't know what you are proving? That there are short prints or there are collation problems? If 11 cases can only produce 2 master setss something is wrong as I am not aware that there has been any notification of some auto's/costumes being harder to find, without that knowledge this still doesn't tell us what the reasons are. If I had purchased 3 cases and was still 6 auto's and 1 costume off a Master set I would be a little disappointed.

Not "proving" anything. Just looked up totals out of curiosity to see if any patterns emerge. 11 cases out of what is probably a 500 case run (just guessing at the number, but that was the number mentioned for The Walking Dead) is a really small sample, and the ebay numbers are almost definitely skewed since some sellers are likely keeping some cards for their PC's or simply selling their duplicates. While I would have expected the autographs to be produced in roughly equal numbers it would also be expected that the wardrobe cards would have wildly varying numbers simply due to the fact that the items vary in size, but the swatches are all made the same size for the cards.

So in the 79 boxes posted (6 full cases and loose), we have yet to see an A7 or A11 and only one A6.
Wish they would announce the print runs or at least short prints... and how many boxes/cases were produced.

I just opened 6 boxes and here are the results:
Box 1:
Autograph A14 Arielle Kebbel
Wardrobe M15 Matt Donovan
D01 D08
F02 F05 F07 F08

Box 2:
Autograph A19 Malese Jow
Wardrobe M18 Alaric Saltzman
D04 D06
F02 F05 F07 F09

Box 3:
Autograph A17 Susan Walters
Wardrobe M17 Vicki Donovan
D05 D07
F01 F03 F04 F06

Box 4:
Autograph A13 David Anders
Wardrobe M16 John Gilbert
D01 D07
F01 F03 F05 x 2 F08

Box 5:
Autograph A16 Kayla Ewell
Wardrobe M13 Damon Salvatore
D02 D09
F03 F04 F06 F09

Box 6:
Autograph A2 Paul Wesley
Wardrobe M9 Caroline Forbes
D02 D08
F02 F04 F07 F09

I can't complain too badly about the collation since I was able to make 2 sets of the foils and came up just 1 card short on the die cut. I didn't get any duplicate wardrobe or autograph cards so I am happy with the results. Now off to sort out a base set.

I had great fun opening them. Here's my break.

Box 1
Auto: A4(Steven R. McQueen) He is actually the grandson of the great Steve McQueen.
Costume: M1 (Stefan Salvatore)
Chase: FO1, FO3, FO6, FO8, DO4, DO5.
No full base set as the #6 wasn't cut properly and has a terrible top edge.

Box 2
Auto: A8 (Michael Trevino)

Chase: FO1, FO3, FO6, FO8, DO5, DO6.
Ditto on the base set. Another with bad #6s

Box 3

Costume: M17 (Vicki Donovan) white variant.
Chase: FO1, FO3, FO4, FO6, DO1, DO8.
More bad #6s Shake Head

Still the same with the #6 base cards.

Box 8
Auto: A18 (Chris William Martin)
Costume: M7 (Bonnie Bennett)

All up I'm pretty happy with this set, I love the die cuts alot.
Pretty disappointed in the amount of base cards that weren't cut properly, I only got 5 full base sets out of 12 boxes. I really hate getting damaged cards, what am I supposed to do with them?

Nice case Juelle! You got all the autos that I would want and some of the ones that appear harder to pull (Plec, Hu, etc). Too bad you got so many duplicate costume cards.

Nice case Juelle! But I'm a bit worried that you got so many bad basecard sets I've only bought two boxes really hope they don't contain bad cards.

Yes, I'm also really happy with my break. I was so happy to pull the M5 costume card and I own the full 258 West Authentic 10 card Auto set of Dobrev, Wesley and Sommerhaulder that I didn't care what else I pulled, so everything else was a fantastic bonus.

I don't mind getting a few doubles, it will give me something to trade with especially since there are still quite a few autos that I need. The costume doubles well, there are only 2 that I'm going to trade because the 2 M15 are different from each other, you can sort of see from the photo.

About the base cards, that was the only downer in the whole thing. Every time I opened a new box I was hoping that this would be the one that would be better. All up I have 10 #6s that I'm not happy with, which means I have alot less base sets because of it. I think I'll contact Cryptozoic and see what they have to say. Problem is if I have to send them back, it's going to cost alot more than those base cards are worth.

Your boxes may not have a problem, only one other person has complained like me about the base cards. So not all of them are like it.

Yeah I really hope so. I will have my boxes in a few days so hopefully everything will be alright. I also bought from 258 West Authentic I bought the 8X10 photo signed by Dobrev, Weasley and Sommerhaulder. I also have a signed poster from 2010 comiccon so I'm not that interested in what autos I pull from the boxes I'm more interested in getting the M20 costume card.

Just got my 3 boxes.

Box 1
Auto - A1 Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert
Wardrobe - Caroline Forbes as played by Candice Accola
D01, D07 - D07 has 3 curved impressions about 1/4 of the way from the left edge and a large ding on the top
F01, F03, F05, F08
A lot of these cards had the cutting problem as noted previously, most on the bottom of the cards and some along the top edge of the card.

Box 2
Auto - A3 Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore
Wardrobe - M3 Elena Gilber as played by Nina Dobrev
D03, D06
F02, F05, F07, F08
Still found some cards with the cutting defect, mostly on the top.

Box 3
Auto - A6 Candice Accola as Caroline Forbes
Wardrobe - M6 Bonnie Bennett as played by Katerina Graham
D02, D08
F02, F05, F07, F09
A few of the cards here and there showed the cutting defect, but fewer than the first 2 boxes.

I did notice a pattern with placement of the auto and wardrobe cards - anyone else see this? Auto with wardrobe card 2 packs later?

Thanks,
Nathan

Wow Nathan Eek nice auto pulls in only 3 boxes Thumb Up

And yes I noticed the placements too, I actually started opening the packs from the bottom of the boxes just to make the excitement last longer Big Grin Twak I know, that's really sad. But I don't open boxes very often.

I also wanted to put in this forum that almost all of my basecards in my two boxes was cut wrong like Nathans and Juelles cards. It seems that it's more than just an odd coincidence. I also had the same pattern fo placement of the autos and wardrobe card as you Nathan and they also always were in the first row Big Grin

Busted 4 boxes...

For starters ALL the base cards were damaged...the majority of the cards have a ding at the bottom near the left corner...some have 2 dings on the bottom of the card and badly dinged left bottom corners...others have roller marks going all the way down the right side of the card and some have roller marks going across the bottom of the card while others have various indents on the surface of the card...

Most of my foil inserts had damage to them as well but not as severe as the base cards...

One of my boxes didn't have an auto but had an extra insert...

Costumes pulled...
M3 Nina Dobrev
M11 Candice Accola
M13 Ian Somerhalder
M16 David Anders

and the autos...

Yeah I know the feeling stevie of opening your boxes and seeing all those damaged cards. I was fortunate that I got all the autos and costume cards as I was suppose to as my inserts. I'm really interested in what the announcement Scott is talking about that's suppose to solve our problem with the damaged cards.

Very Odd this break was...

First... 3 Base sets in my case. Shake Head I too had the dreaded #6 problem. Didn't go any further out of frustration so there may be more.

Next, didn't make a set of the DO chase set...
DO1-3
DO2-5
DO3-1
DO4-1
DO5-2
DO6-0 Mad
DO7-3
DO8-3
DO9-4

For those counting, only 22 DO cards in 12 boxes.

FO Chase Set was good, 3 sets with extras of most of the rest.

Memorabilia cards:
M1
M3
M4
M6
M7
M8x2
M11x2
M13
M14
M16
M18

Again for those counting, that's 13. One box had 2 autos and 2 costumes. Wonder if that was the box with no DO's

Autographs
A1
A3
A4
A5
A12
A13
A14
A15x2
A18x3 Shake Head
A20

Can't argue since I've not seen another case with 2 of the mains and 13 autos and 13 costumes. But I would liked to have had at least 1 mini-master set.

Ed
