I would take that normal box over the extra hit box any day.

All my base set cards came damaged. Since no one else mentioned this maybe I just got a bad box. My cards were dented, dinged, had pit marks and what appears to be some sort of machine roll crease. For some reason the bonus cards were fine. I just wrote Cryptozoic and hopefully this will be taken care of. I hope no one else has this problem.

Hi,
We will of course send replacements for any damaged cards. Unfortunately, all of our test cases checked out fine but we have heard of some cases with damaged cards. Trust me, no one is more upset about this than we are and our printer is well aware of our displeasure.
Thanks.
Scott

Scott--
I know you got these back since I sent them with confirmation but I have not heard back from your company if there will be a delay in replacing them. I guess you look at this forum quite a bit so please let me know if there is a problem. I don't want to be a pest but I would like some closure on this.
Thanks Scott. I am returning all the base cards to the address on the box and putting it to your attention. It will be sent with delivery confirmation.

I hope my case isn't like that, crosses fingers and toes. It would be very costly to have to send so many cards back to the US, it probably wouldn't be worth it
I mentioned earlier there were 2 autographs that I really wanted, Dobrev and Kebbel, and with 20 autos and just 3 boxes my odds of getting even 1 was just 30%.
I know it's early but this is looking even harder to complete a master set than I first thought.
Rather dissapointing that with 18 autographs in the set there are so many duplicates in a case.
I would have expected no duplicates unless there was a big discrepancy in the number of cards signed by each actor.

Same as walking dead - with 20 Auto's you should expect a minimum of 11 different Auto's unless we are told before purchase. I would be disappointed with 8 or 9 different ones. This message has been edited. Last edited by: hammer,

Miss Lizzy didn't pull any A2,4,6,7,8,10,11,12,13,15 or 18 in 2 cases.
So in 2 cases only 9 of 20 Auto's were pulled, that (in my opinion) is shocking and something has gone wrong or there are a lot of short prints that aren't advertised

I wish I had filmed myself opening the three cases that I bought. Vampire Diaries is probably the worst collated product I have ever opened. I have opened 3-6 cases of every non-sport product Cryptozoic, Rittenhouse, and Topps has produced in the last 4 years. Nothing compared to this. I know its a small sample size but still. Its not just the autos, its the costume cards as well.
I THINK ITS SAD THAT IN THREE CASES, I CANNOT EVEN MAKE A RELIC SET.
Here is the breakdown
Case 1:
Autos:
a5 - Katerina Graham x 2 A10 - MATT DAVIS A14 - ARIELLE KEBBEL X 3 A15 - KELLY HU X 3 A16 - KAYLA EWELL X 2 A17 - SUSAN WALTERS
COSTUMES:
M1 M6 X 2 M8 X 2 M10 M11 M12 X 2 M13 M16 M19
------------------------------------------------- CASE 2 -------------------------------------------------
AUTOS:
A2 - PAUL WESLEY A9 - SARA CUNNING X 2 A10 - MATT DAVIS A16 - KAYLA EWELL X 2 A17 - SUSAN WALTERS A19 - MALESE JOW X 2 A20 - BIANCA LAWSON X 3
COSTUME:
M2 M3 X 3 M4 M6 M7 M9 M11 M12 M13 M19
---------------------------------------- CASE 3 ----------------------------------------
AUTOS:
A3 - IAN SOMERHALDER A4 - STEVEN MCQUEEN A13 - DAVID ANDERS X 2 A16 - KAYLA EWELL X 2 A17 - SUSAN WALTERS X 2 A18 - CHRIS WILLIAM MARTIN X 3 A19 - MALESE JOW
So out of 5 cases (Miss Lizzy & Gst177) no A6,7,8,11 or 12. Now that is Limited or something has gone badly wrong. The A6 and 8 have turmed up in the couple of box breaks - so this seems like a collation problem.

Yeah the distribution seems very odd I have never seen this before. Usually for me a case would mean you get most of the set.

After checking to see if M5 was produced in lower numbers my curiosity was piqued so I checked ebay, this breakdown forum and a couple of others and came up with these totals...
I think this accounts for a sample of 132 boxes (11 cases)
