I wasn't very lucky with my break. While it would have been nice to complete at least one of the chase sets, I'm hoping I can trade for the ones I'm missing. The duplicate autograph was disappointing as I can't see a huge demand for it on the trade market. I was pleased with the selection of Pieceworks.

Buying three boxes was an experiment for me. Normally, I buy a single box of a set and then buy or trade for the chase I'm interested in. I was hoping that with more boxes I'd have a better chance at pulling one of the higher end cards. It's been a mixed result so far. Of course, it could be that my luck just sucks Razz

I am more than pleased by this case. Getting the Kristen Bell auto in the next to last box was a little tense (but fun). I sent off the PW-6 (variation w/sequins) Redemption Card yesterday. When it arrives I'll post a photo.

My OTB Box Breakdown:

BL-3- Weevil
C7, C8, C9
J3, J4

2 Base sets with 22 extras.

PW-8. Ryan Hansen
A17. Krysten Ritter

Thankfully my auto and PW were both new. Smile I now have A16- A21 surprisingly...I only need four autos to finish the set, but one of those is Kristen Bell- aargh...Wink

This 5th box will probably be my last for VMars 2, but it was fun getting them and especially getting the Charisma Carpenter and the Enrico Auto'd PW in the same box.

Happy OTB Day!

Val

Of all the manufacturers, I always enjoy opening InkWorks products.

Unfortunately, my team (Toronto Maple Leafs) couldn't make the grade this year. I'm rooting for Calgary. Thumb Up

Thanks. I can't wait for my PW-6 variant to come back. Bouncey

Unless I missed it, I haven't seen anyone mention receiving a redemprion card with their breakdowns. There have been four or five on the auction site, though.

Thanks for the applause. Right back at ya: Clap Big Grin

I'm thinking this set could be my first modern master set. Just five PWs (including the pink PW-9), and an auto PW card. I've got the sell sheet and binder on the way. The multi-case incentive came from the auction site.

Just busted a case and have to say it's the most dissapointing Inkworks case I have ever had Frown ,.

I am too depressed to go into detail but the main points were

No Kristen Bell auto Frown .

No Auto Pieceworks Frown .

No Inkplates Frown .

I may just stick to Strictly Ink products when buying cases in the future. They are the only one to guarantee a set of auto's.

OK I lied about the 5th being my last, I got a sixth box of Veronica Mars today and here are my results:

BL-2- Logan
C1, C2, C3(Kendall Casablancas), C9
J5, J6

2 Base sets with 21 extras.

PW-12: Joss Whedon(again)

-and-

A12. KRISTEN BELL as VERONICA MARS!!!! Dance

I have done extremely well with this product. My typical Inkworks streak usually would have ended up with me getting at least one repeat auto in six different boxes, but not so in this case. I am missing two of the PW cards I really wanted which were the Alyson Hannigan and the Charisma Carpenter, but I cannot complain since I have seven out of ten autos(surprisingly including what I think were two of the bigger draws for the set: Bell and Charisma Carpenter), one autographed PW and five regular PWs with my auto'd Carpenter PW coming soon.

I could use a Charisma inkplate though...LOL

That is wild, I cannot think of anyone famous now that I knew before they were stars, although i did go to high school with one guy who put out a comedy album recently and another that won one of the Amazing Races.

But back to the topic. I am wondering if I should get the other three autos in this set (Colantoni, Gallner, Daggs) along with nine of the ten autos that I need in the previous series(minus the Kristen Bell- since I now have one for this set and I don't think I want to shell out money for the A1) as I think I may start watching this show on DVD soon.

Maybe I should....most of the series 1 autos can be had fairly inexpensively.

Today I received my PW-6 from Inkworks. As promised here is the card with two sequins.

One thing I noticed is this card is using the Kristen Bell PW-1 sized window for the costume piece instead of the regular sized window. More pieces that way. Wink
