just putting this out there... has anyone seen or has a set of the much fabled, Bob Marley promo card set with orange border??

I have 13 different Marley promos but none has an orange border. How reliable is your information about their existence?

I missed this thread somehow. Could it be just a card or two that didn't get the foil borders? I heard years ago that there are Bob Marley promos missing foil (missing the foil stamps as on 1 of 5, 3 of 5, and 4 of 5?) but I've never seen one.

PCE2008 lists 8 different. What do the other 5 look like?

I think these are the 13:

# 1 to 5

unnumbered contest card

unnumbered general promo

promo from Collect magazine

# 1 to 5 without the gold foil

The only difference is that the words Bob Marley Legend on the front are in white instead of gold foil

None of mine have "Bob Marley Legend" in gold foil. Memories can be fuzzy since 1995 is suddenly 30 years ago but I don't recall those words being in gold foil. I looked at the ones on Ebay and didn't see any that appeared to be in gold foil either - tough to be sure with the given images. Are the ones with gold foil the rarer ones?

I'll try to dive into the depths of my collection later today to see if I have any other ones.

The only weird one I found is an unnumbered one with "Collect" on the back. It has a splotch on the front that appears to be just where some gold foil got rubbed off the green background. At first I thought it might have been a printing error but it's really just very light damage.

My mistake. The foil vs. non foil is on the Bob Marley stamp on the left side of each card, not the logo on the right. I am talking about the square/diamond shape.

One version has all in gold, the other in orange
