New York Comic Con Star Wars exclusives
Earlier this year, I noticed that some number of Star Wars cards were New York Comic Con exclusives. Some were promos given out in 5-card cello packs in 2023; others were also given out in packs in 2023 but you had a buy a box of the latest release at the show. There seem to be some standalone singles from other years. I don't know much about those.

Here is card SWNY-4, Cad Bane, from the 15-card promos set. The cards in this set follow the same design as the Star Wars 2023 set.

I've seen singles from the promo set sell recently for $2-5 each with sealed packs going for about $20 each. I did see a complete set plus 5 duplicates sell for just $9.50 with 5 bids on May 29. That tells me there is less collector interest in this one than there used to be. Some sellers are still trying to get well over $10 per card. That ship has sailed. At this point, if you're interested, wait for a good deal on a lot or a pack or two.

I havent looked into any of the star wArs Topps stuff from the last number of years. Did they actually give these to people visiting the booth, or are they purchase incentives/show exclusive sale items?

There was the Shin Hati card # 0 at the 2023 NYCC. People seem to be asking $ 15-20 for that one now. Usually there are a dozen on ebay.

At least two sources have said the 5-card cello-packs were given out. I was told the similar cards with the sparkle background were in a pack that you got when you bought a box of Star Wars Hi-Tek so those would be an incentive - still free but only if you bought something. When you ask Google, it says the sparkle background cards were also just given out. Maybe someone here who was at the show can comment on that.

Edit: Ryan Cracknell wrote an article that confirms the packs with the sparkle card were available only as a bonus to those who purchased a box of Star Wars Hi Tek. They are 4-card packs and that is a 20-card set.
