David RBabe Ruth (Gold) Question
I am confused by the prototype holograms on the various 1991-92 Babe Ruth sets by Gold Entertainment, of Paterson, NJ.
Can someone explain exactly how many different prototype holos there are, and what they are ?
I have seen one for "The Called Shot" but one set seems to have 5 different holos as part of the regular set. Are there prototype versions of each of these 5 ?

David RIt looks like there are prototype versions of at least the first 3 holograms in this set-- blank backs with the Gold Entertainment stamp
But the set itself seems to have 5 holograms, so I wonder if there are prototypes of # 4 and 5, as well.

catskilleagleUhhh, eight years later...I just saw a couple of the hologram prototypes up for auction on Ebay and searched here to see what we might've said about them in the past though it is technically a sports set. Someone might say it's a sports history set and therefore a history set so it's a bit of a sports/non-sports hybrid.
I have at least one of the prototypes and will try to dig it out and scan it. I think I got it in the 90's out of dealer bargain boxes - probably didn't pay more than $3 and maybe as little as a buck.
There are said to be two versions of the regular 5-card "The Babe Ruth Series set: a silver one and a less-common gold one, but based on what I remember and what I see online, there are just prototype versions of three of the silver cards: #1 Babe Ruth, #3 Babe Ruth (The Called Shot), and #4 Babe Ruth/Roge Maris.
