opened up my first box before cases arrive. Good coalation, cards were undamaged and you can make a set out of a box. The artwork is really amazing on this set. i really like the way some sketchs look too.

Inserts
recived 6 kayanan etched foil sketchs, with one being a repeat of card 2.

Pulled 8 of the 9 (1:4) foils with no repeats

pulled one brones (1:36) foil

and two sketchs (1:18)

1. howard shum Frodo 491/1000
2. Full color painted Sketch by Len bellinger of frodo reaching into the eye of sauron. what was neat, is that i saw the back had paint on it, so i knew it was gonna be something special.
OVERALL great product! cant wait for cases on friday

Heres my 1st case Smile

Deffinitly happy with my case, 18 skethes and quite a few amazing pieces of art. Fellow artists, you guys did a great job, and me being one of the artists on this set makes me appreciate the sketches even more! Once again, awsome job my friends.

Very nice pulls, Kyle. I think you got the Vanderstelt sketch missing from mine. Smile

I opened a case yesterday and got the sketch cards below. I pulled 15 sketches plus:

7 x 9-Card Foil Set (+ some extras)
7 x 6-Card Etched Foil Set (+ extras)
8 Bronze Parallel cards (not enough for a set and also some are doubles)
2 Gold Paralled cards (#44/99 and #54/99)

Haven't gone through the base cards yet.

I also received a case of this product from my loving husband as a surprise. The "surprise" was on us instead ...

I received 16 sketches by only 9 different artists and of those 16 sketches, only 12 were unique. Below is the complete list (and forgive me for not knowing who/what some sketches are - mine are not as easily identifiable as some others seem to be)

3 Grant Gould "Ring" sketches (all three sketches are identical - 2 are up for trade)

3 Teranishi sketches (one very nice Aragorn and two identical monsters - one is up for trade)

3 Howard Shum sketches (let's call him Pippin, we'll call this one Legolas, and the other has a beard so we'll say Boromir - be happy to trade the Pippin and possibly the Legolas)

2 Waterhouse I don't know what's .. I'd be happy to trade one of these too, I promise to scan them in shortly)

1 Fabbri Helmeted Warrior
1 Katie Cook Elven Female
1 Leah Mangue Gollum
1 Dillon Orc
1 Oatney Wormtongue

And 1 Gold Parallel 3 of 9 numbered to 45/99 (up for trade).

7 complete sets of the Kayanan puzzle (no painting card for me)

8 complete sets of the silver Foil Art cards

7 of the Bronze Foil Art cards (I have an extra Bronze #3 to trade for either 8 or 9 - those are the ones I need to finish off that set)

2 I don't know who's I don't know what's (the signature looks like Holk on one and HoHs on the other - err... I'd be happy to trade one of these too, I promise to scan them in shortly)

Possibly Ryan Waterhouse? MarleyEds has a very helpful signature identification guide on his excellent site here

Sorry you were disappointed OWM but it sounds like you can trade a few so you can choose what you want. I had mediocre luck on Evolution (2 boxes lost in mail and 8 sketches from other 6, but a lovely Staggs Nazgul to offset) but don't know yet on Masterpieces. Maybe i should relocate closer to the action Smile

Hey everyone,

I posted the following message to another site, but I thought I would share it here too.

I bought two case from different dealers, and they both arrived today. My girlfriend upacked the cases before I got home, so I'm not sure exactly which sketches came from which cases (this will be more relevant once you see the pics).

Over all, I think we did pretty well. We are very happy with our sketches. There were several repeat artists, but it wasn't quite as extreme as I feared. Here is our level breakdown: A=0, B=4, C=6, D=4, E=3, F=7, G=0, H=3, I=3 and then there are two sketches where I haven't identified the artists.

In terms of the other chase cards, we got 13 sets (plus extras) of both the silver foils and the etched foils. Out of two cases, we did not get a full bronze parallel set... missing one card... but we have 10 extras. We also pulled a Gandald gold foil.

Ok, so on to the pics...

Yeah, somehow we got both sides of one of Patrick Hamill's puzzle sketches. I was happy we I pulled the first one, and then completely dumbfounded when the second showed up.

Can anyone identify artists that drew the light pencil sketch above, or the boxed bearded character on the third set of pictures?

I hope everyone has a lot of fun opening their packs/boxes/cases/cargo trucks sent directly from Topps!!

Craig

if it makes you feel a little better, my case breakdown was worse Frown
although I got 19 sketches ( 4 from 1 box ), none were higher than level E, many repeats and all poor - nothing I shall keep ....
If I'm lucky their re-sale might just pay the import duty .... ( £58 - ouch! )
making the foils and basic cards very, very expensive .... I didn't even get a gold parallel card,
very disappointed Shake Head
