While this find was not on eBay, it fits the spirit of this thread and I didn't want to start a whole new thread for basically the same thing.

At a mall today, they were having a Disneyana show. At one of the tables, I saw a shoebox filled with packets of Disney promo cards. I saw some I liked and asked the price. When she told me, I asked how much for the whole box. Here's what I bought:

Pocahontas promo packet (x 35)
NSU Price Guide = $15.00 per packet

Hunchback of Notre Dame (x 2)
PCE Price Guide = $8.00 per packet?
The guide lists an 8-card packet but my packets are 9-card.

Disney / MGM Studios trivia cards (x 3)
Cannot locate a price for this 9-card set

Disney Collector Cards Pack - 1991 Impel (x 3)
Cannot identify "per pack" price in NSU

Minnie 'n Me
    No price in PCE

Also in the box were two little booklets called "Mickey Mouse Picture Cards". Apparently the booklet was part of "The Mickey Mouse Picture Cards and Album" set. The booklet is rather intersting.

Working with only the prices about which I know, the total value of the cards would be about $541.00. I paid....$5.00. Big Grin

Oh, and one more little thing. Hidden among the packets of Pocahontas cards was this little guy:

The card is signed by Lon Smart who one of the breakdown artists for the movie. I doubt it's worth anything, but it was a surprise to find an autograph card nonetheless.

In just nabbed the Douglas Adams Auto card from the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy card set.

One of my Holy grail cards. and for the unbelievable bargain price of only £8.50 Dance

After my Father and The Great Bird of the Galaxy, Dougals Adams is the man who has most influenced my life. I use a quote from the HHGTTG at least once every day, just ask my wife.

I know this card was inserted in approx 1:900 packs. But does anyone know just how many cards the great Mr. Adams actually signed?

Nice pick up on the Adams, I've never picked one up because they can't be differentiated from a regular signed card, but for that price I would have taken the risk.

Congrats!

Everyone here (or almost everyone) knows that I've had to stop collecting for awhile and sell the bulk of my cards...

so I was really thrilled to get these three gems to add to my meager collection;

Buffy Memories PW5 - Giles sweater
Buffy MOS PW3 - Giles shirt (a variant- 4 pin-stripes going across the middle)

Both under five bucks from the same seller.

and

Anthony Head's auto card for the Highlander (Expansion?) set for $10.50.

I don't know anything about the Highlander set. All that I do know is that I've had a crush on Anthony Head for quite a long time.. back when he did the Taster's Choice commercials Wink

Thanks Wolfie Cool

Now that I've seen him in the movie 'Repo - the Genetic Opera' I'm even more thrilled.

Star Trek Deep Space 9 Embossed redemption set of 10
Producer: SkyBox
Year: 1994

It is catalogued at $100.00 in NSU. There are two up for sale right now for $99.00 and $75.00 yet an auction just closed with no bids for $15.00 including postage.

I just won mine for the opening bid of $3.50 plus $1.80 postage. What's up with that? It has been on my Want list for 15 years so I'm happy.

Better change the price in NSU then if that's all they're worth.

I've never seen a set of those sell for any-where near $100. Perhaps when they were first issued they may have reached close to that at Shows, but on "That Site" they rarely reach $20.
