Cardmaster,

If you look in the latest N.S.U., you will find your Lucy promo listed in the price guide on the bottom right corner of page 17a.

The TS Publications 1993 Bike Week promos can be found on page 93 of the new P.C.E.

Joe

Thanks to everyone who's been posting px's. I'm really enjoying seeing some of these cards for the very first time. I thought maybe some members could also post a request here to see pixs of promos they've been searching for and whomever has that card in the group could post a pix of it.I personally would like to see a pic of Biosphere #25. Any takers??? Wave

Card Master,

Maybe you need to change your name. Both cards have been in PCE for years.

Hi All
I got a few questions about these Artwork of Joe DeVito Promo cards. This card set got me all ??Confused??? Confused???
Here is all I know about these cards.
The card set was never made by DF.
I know DF did not get the license and FPG got it.
The card in the top right hand corner that has a pic of a hand holding a knife.
I know that this card was given out by Joe DeVito at the Great Eastern Convention at the N.Y.City Javits Center comic & toy show at his booth.
I was at the show that day and got only one promo card from him. Joe D only had a few to give out to his fans. One per person.
Then I bought my friends card collection and he had the same card also.
So I got a extra.
Then one day I met my wife and she had the whole set. But she did not know were her late husband got them from and what con's or shows he went to to get them.
????????? QUESTIONS ????????
PCE-TODD said to me that they are show promo cards.
BUT FROM WHAT SHOWS ?????? Confused
WHAT SHOWS WERE THE OTHER CARDS GIVEN OUT AT????

SOMEONE HAS TO KNOW WHAT SHOWS & ABOUT THE OTHER CARDS & THE WAY THEY WERE GIVEN OUT ???????
IF THEY WERE GIVEN OUT AT OTHER SHOWS ???????
OR WERE THEY JUST GIVEN OUT AT THE N.Y.CITY SHOW ?????????? PLEASE HELP?????
I AM Confused Confused AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW & THE WAY THAT THESE CARDS WERE GIVEN OUT.
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR JOE DEVITO AT COMIC SHOWS FOR YEAR TO ASK HIM ???

Here is the Pic of the 5 different promo cards and one pic of the cards back .All the backs are the same pic.

Hey Card Master...in response to your Conan question.

Hold the card at an angle to let light hit it,if you see an array of rainbow colors it is a refractor,if no color, then it is the regular promo.Hope this helps. But it looks like the regular version.

Card Master, those Joe DeVito promos are some of MY "holy grails." They are tough to find.

I have only 2 of them-- the red one on the bottom left and the one with the woman and the robot on the right in your second row.

Two of the others popped up on ebay in August (the one with the woman's face and the one on the top row, left) Unfortunately, I saw them after the auctions ended. Frown First and only time I have seen them.

Hi David

I just emailed Joe DeVito and I hope he gets back to me. I think he will
I just asked him a few questions
Joe D has his own websight.
With a link for people to email him.

He was always very friendly at the shows in the early 90's and did sketchs for me for free back then.

I found out about his websight when I was trying to look up these cards in the internet search engin.

Albert, the last ones I found were # 5 and 25. I picked them up on ebay in early 2001, I think.

Zane, what company produced those promos ? I see that NSU lists a 1992 Civil War set by Tuff Stuff. Is that the set these promos are from ?

Albert, re: the 1991 Kriss Kringle by Champs, which you posted on above. Unbelievably, one sold on ebay the other day for a mere $ 2.
To think that people will pay a fortune for newer promos and will pass up on gems like that one ! I am stunned !
