I collected a few of the Buffy comics out of order & used to have some of the graphic novels which collected these comics.

For example Buffy comic issues #1-3 were collected and re-published as the 'graphic novel' collection 'Remaining Sunlight '.

BUT what I find confusing is that those comic titles were then republised in the Buffy Omnibus series Volume 3 .

Why not volume 1? Were the comics re-ordered to fit a continuity timeline? Or run parallel to episodes in the show?

I'm confused by the re-ordering and if this affects the 'correct' ie chronological order in which they should be read.
