My vote would go for Firefly. I would also vote for The Dresden Files, even though I never did get a chance to watch it. I heard about the show after it went off the air, but I love the books. Looking for this on DVD....

Jeremiah
Veronica Mars

Stargate Atlantis too (although I'm not done with Season 5 yet)

Stargate got to be a bit long in the tooth in the last couple of season IMO -- love the characters, but the episodes started to lag.

There was also a great series about a bunch of Space marines in an interplanetary war that ended abruptly. (maybe one of you could tell me what the name of that one was).

space above and beyond?

Too many to mention them all, but here's a few.

Battlestar Galactica
Reaper
Surface
Crusade

Babylon 5 didn't get cancelled it was always planned as a five season series and had a proper ending as such.

The problem was, the show was on the verge of being cancelled after the end of the forth season, hence the rushed feel to wrap up the storylines. The fifth season felt like an add-on.

I heard a slightly different version where they were told that there might not be a fifth season, so they included the two main story arches from seasons 4 and 5 into season 4 to make sure everything was acceptably wrapped up. That's why there were no 'padding' episodes in season 4. For season 5, all they had left were the padding episodes and not much else and it showed Smile

Threshold - dark, creepy and compelling. It was being set up for something wonderful. That was about 5 years ago, and it is the last show I've watched on CBS.

Disappointed Moonlight has been cancelled. Alias was rushed at the end. 4400 had a least one more series in it. Invasion needed at least one more Season. Justice looked good and I enjoyed Haunted

Battlestar wasn't really cancelled though, they did decide to wrap it up after 4 seasons and wrote an ending, so I think it had a pretty good run.

I don't mind when shows end after 4 or so seasons, I just really hate it when they get 1 or 2 seasons and you're just really getting into it, then bam - gone.

I loved Moonlight, still haven't even watched the final 2 episodes cause I didn't want it to endFrown

Stargate went 10 years, they should have chosen to end it after that long.

My picks would be:

Threshold- It was interesting to watch.

Kyle XY- The network should have at least concluded it properly, even if it meant added a extra hour to the finale.

Firefly- It had great cast interaction and was funny.

Alf- It was hilarious to the very end.

Seaquest DSV - It didn't have a chance of surviving with the network changing the cast and format every season. The 1st season was the best.

These all ended before their time. It would be nice if networks would work at improving what they have instead of searching for a instant hit all the time. Rome wasn't built in a day afterall.

It was all genres wrapped into one - just brilliant.
Comedy - you got it
Western - you got it
Thriller - you got it
Sci-fi - you got it

One of the most innovative series of our time. If my memory serves me right Fox didn't even screen all the produced episodes.

Really? Oops that one's way before my time, I've never even seen it to be honest.

Strange Luck with D.B. Sweeney
Millennium with Lance Henriksen
Love Monkey with Tom Cavanagh

and even though it lasted 8 seasons, I miss Without a Trace

Its funny how some shows don't make it past 1 year, and others get cancelled with a loyal following while shows like "According to Jim" stick around for year after year

I agree with the votes for Wonderfalls, one of the funniest shows I have seen. I also loved the animated series "Mission Hill". One of my favorite animated series right now is "Home Movies" on Adult Swim, just hysterical!
