The premiere of the new "V" TV show comes on in about 2 hours from now on ABC. I cannot wait.

Just started watching it. Really weird to see the updated series, after Scy-Fy has had the original series on for the past few days. (And I also own all the dvd sets of the show).

just watched it...wow...good show, but what blew me away was the amount of political undertone to it...my god they took the hard left and Obama to task on that show....When the bad guys start dangling (in the shows own words) "universal health care" to those who don't question the motives and just obey....wow....aliens coming bringing "hope and change"...talk about using sci-fi as a hammer to spark new thought on a subject. I was mostly blown away, considering how hard they took the current admin to task...they basically on a point for point basis made them the visitors (who we find out are trying to end our way of life and enslave us or worse)...i never thought i would see the day Hollywood would turn out something political in undertone that wasn't fully attacking of the right, let alone the opposite and taking the current left to task. was a good show too, good writing and acting, loved seeing Alan tuydk (or however you spell it)from firefly back on TV.

I've seen the adverts for this, should be starting up over here in the next few weeks. I'm always into scifi, so I'll likely tune in to see what it's like.

I remember watching that show when it originally aired...

I haven't watched it yet (recorded it) I laught at how Fox News and the far right say it's about Obama.. The project was in development for a while and the original was in the 80's when the guy was like 10.. They complained because other shows mentioned health care then the applaud this for being about obama..

I think people need to realize these are JUST TV SHOWS. Saying V is about obama is like saying Rain Man was aboug George Bush

At Comic Con, someone questioned the panel about the lack of minorities in the cast, why two blue eyed blond Caucasians were the lead protagonists and why the lone African American was cast as an alien. There was no response.

I read something about the republcian leanings in the show and Rupert Murdock adding his own to leaning to the show and blah blah blah. You'll have to work alot harder for me to move from entertainment to politics when I watch tv, that part of my brain turns off. But more important information is the day of the V pilot there were lizards ALL OVER MY YARD. Climbing on the rocks, garden walls... all over the windowsills..the porch. Was errie..now tell me THAT'S not connected....

I didn't see V, but from what I've read it seems that the aliens offer universal health care as a one of their gifts to mankind. Of course they really want to enslave mankind.

I think the comparison just started as a joke and then it was good publicity for the show, so it got repeated. If SiFi is reality, its the robots we can't trust.

You cant top the original. It was ahead of its time and pretty good. Also, the scifi (dont care to much for the new spelling) was also airing the movie mini series as well as the tv series prior to the new show.

I'm enjoying it much more than I thought I would. I hope it gets picked up after this initial 4 episode run.

"V" is to return in March. (Hopefully earlier). Wonder if NS Cards will follow.

I laugh at people who compare it to reality.. It is a decent show I never saw the original so don't know if they offered to help humans out..

I've heard (was mainly on fox news) that it's the obama admin. because of health care and hope and have heard others say it's a shot at Bush because they use terrorists and fear to keep us off guard..

I just think that if you look into if it's a shot at Obama or Bush maybe you need to put down the remote and get back to reality it's a TV SHOW..

I don't know about you but I turn on tv to get away from reality, if I needed to be concered about life I would turn on that whackadoo glenn beck and his conspiracy theories..
