It's quite possible he's immune to Peter's abilities like X-Men brothers Cyclops and Havok.

Or his mother knew of a "healer" that saved him... could even be her ability.

Yeah i know its hard to believe, but *shrug* putting it out there i guess.

Hmm it will be interesting to find out how the older members of the families created this company..

Also another note, is it me or did Parkman and Ando not recognise each other?? I thought they all saw each other atleast once?

I think the eclipse is a red herring. A symbol that the sun is the life bringer and the catalyst for all mutations.

The "Heroes" seem to have had their powers all along. Claire for instance, was able to survive the infernal when she was an infant.

Nathan had his flying ability long before the eclypse. He survived that car accident if you remember. There's even an inferance in the graphic novels that he had it since he was a baby.

Peter seems to have had some abilities all along. He told Nathan he knew about his acident when it happened. And his dreams of flying all happened before the eclipse.

The split between Niki and Jessica happened long before the eclipse.

Claire's new boyfriend was caught by HRG two years earlier.

Perhaps like Niki he submersed the ability so deep into his subconcious that the ability only manifested itself when it was really needed.
