Miguel Ferrer, age 61, of cancer. He was the son of Rosemary Clooney and Jose Ferrer, and had multiple credits over the years, often as a villian. He had roles in Robocop, Twin Peaks, and most prominently, NCIS LA.

Miguel Ferrer was also in Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. His autograph card was RA's A40 binder exclusive in the 2007 Complete Star Trek Movies set.

Additionally he was George Clooney's first cousin.

I always thought he was a really good actor, but he only starred in a few low budget films. Then he got pushed into character actor roles, probably because he wasn't the typical leading man type. He still had a long career in films and TV. Sorry to hear of his passing, he was only 61.

Sad news for sure.

Here's his collectible postcard from the 2007 Twin Peaks Gold Box DVD set:

He will be appearing in the "Twin Peaks" revival series on Showtime beginning in May.

Mary Tyler Moore passed away today at the age of 80. She was truly a TV legend, both in front and behind the scenes with her production company.

I can't provide a scan, but she did have one certified autograph card in the Press Pass Essential Elvis set of 2012.

RIP Mary.

Wrestling has enough show-biz to it that, if the cards aren't non-sport, they are at least in the general vicinity.

George "The Animal" Steele has just died at age 79. You may also remember him for playing Tor Johnson in the movie "Ed Wood."

Big shock, word that Bill Paxton just passed away at 61, complications from heart surgery.

This was a very good actor and nice guy. He had a couple of autograph cards in the last few years. You can find him in Agents of SHIELD and in the UD Alien Anthology sets.

He was also a writer and director. Apart from his better known films, try one called Frailty if you haven't seen. He is the star, but also was the director and a young Mathew McConaughey is in it too. A very strange little movie with a big twist that is a hidden gem.

Also Paxton went to the Aliens reunions and is a big part of those videos available on u-tube. He seemed to be enjoying himself a lot. RIP Mr. Paxton.

Paxton was a really good actor. He didn't get many lead roles, usually supporting, but he really shined in "A Simple Plan" and "One False Move." And he was one of many reasons to enjoy the modern vampire thriller "Near Dark."

In addition to his movie fame, he was involve in a famous dark day of American history. On Nov 22, 1963, his father took him to see a speech by John F Kennedy in Ft Worth, where he grew up. This was to be Kennedy's final public speech. Paxton is the boy sitting on someone's shoulders:

Most likely. And possibly the Titanic set as well.

Neil Fingleton, who played Mag the Mighty on Game of Thrones, died at age 36.

Yes, he was memorable in his parts. I thought of "True Lies" first and you're right about "Frailty." Good movie.

Wasn't Bill Paxton the annoying brother in "Weird Science" (1985) as well ? One of his early roles. I believe they turned him into a blob of jelly, or something
