Rest in wild camp frenzy, Rip.
I loved it when he'd take his wig off and his "stinkeye" (wordless expression of disapproval of someone for comic effect) was up there with the all-time greats.

Pioneering actress Diahann Carroll also passed away.

She had autograph cards in a recent Pop Century set.

Actor Robert Forster has died. "Jackie Brown" was a excellent movie, and he was the best thing in it. Should have won an Oscar.

And cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, who was the first person to do a spacewalk, has died.

I would swear someone here noted the passing of Dr. John on June 6. He collaborated with numerous musicians across his widely-respected career. I remember Jon Batiste honored him on Late Night with Stephen Colbert by playing one of his songs going into and coming out of a commercial break that night.

Virginia Leith at 94.

https://variety.com/2019/film/...-actress-1203403178/

She, among many loftier credits, appeared in the 1962 sci-fi/horror flick "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", the poster for which appeared in a Breygent set, as a base card and as sketch cards by various artists.
Here it is on an oversized sketch card, featuring Virginia in character, by artist Tim Shay:

The movie was the subject of a popular episode of MST3K.

Some of the legendary Wilson's distinctive work on trading cards shown below:

His art also appears on at least a couple of the cards in the "National Lampoon" set from the early 90's as Gahan did plenty of work in the 70's & 80's for the classic humor mag.

Rest in peace, Mr. Wilson...

Gao was a well-known male model and actor, especially in Asia. He died at 35 from cardiac arrest while running around in the middle of the night filming a popular and strenuous sports reality show in Taiwan. If that had happened on a US show like Celebrity Survivor or such, it would be front page news and the show would be cancelled.

At the age of 80, Dorothy Catherine "D.C." Fontana passed away yesterday. She was one of the most influential writers of Star Trek. She shaped much of the show's canon with episodes like "Journey to Babel" and the "Yesteryear" episode on Star Trek: The Animated Series.

So long, Mr. Spinney. It's hard to overstate the importance of these characters to kids, certainly, who grew up in the 70's and 80's, myself included.

And now I read that René Auberjonois has passed, age 79. Best known as STBig GrinS9's Odo, but I first became aware of him in the original MASH movie, and the sitcom "Benson".
