Character Building released a set of Doctor Who Minifigs to mark the 50th Anniversary last year - this time featuring the 11 (at time of production) incarnations of the Doctor (The War Doctor presumably not being known about), and I was picking them up a couple of packs at a time from Forbidden Planet whenever I went up to London - last week, however, I appear to have bought the last three they had. Luckily, there are sealed packs on Amazon, and I got 6 this week - and did very well!
I now have 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Doctors (these differ from the box set versions, and the 9th and 11th are different from any of the previously and subsequently released series)
Unless I have been remarkably unlucky, the 4th Doctor is particularly common - I have 4 of them, plus spares of 2nd and 5th)
I'll post pictures later if anyone is interested! (and if anyone wants to trade spare 1st, 6th, or 7th - please message me off-board!)
Au Res.,
Paul

The likenesses are pretty good (though 4th looks more like the late comedian Marty Feldman!) and I like the little details, such as the shoes on the 10th and the celery on the 5th!

I have (as far as I can tell) full runs (apart from the Gold Base variants, of which I only have one) of the first three series - if anyone would be interested, I could post pictures of them too, though it will take some time as there are LOADS of them!
Au Res.,
Paul

At long last I've found some of the Wave 4 figs (in a Certain London Geek Store!) - bought 5, got Oswin Oswald (from Asylum of the Daleks) (Red Dress), Cyberman, Strax (twice) and... The War Doctor (a 'Red' figure!)
The figures are nice, though it's annoying that they are in the clear 'cases' and don't have the stands to match the other waves (and the 50th Anniversary series)
The 'rarity' levels are Green - common, Yellow - rare, Red - Very Rare (usually, though I'm not certain about this, one per case) Other figures in the set include two versions of the Twelfth Doctor, an Eleventh Doctor, a Clara Oswald, Madame Vastra (the other 'Red' figure), a Dalek, Captain Jack Harkness and a Slitheen. I've heard rumours of 'ultra rare' figures (like the Gold base figures of other sets), including Eleventh Doctor with Handles and Eleventh Doctor in Blue (from the Diana Rigg episode!)
I'm hoping to pick up a few more at Memorabilia...

Paul

I got a few more Series 4 in London yesterday (whilst meeting up with Batman, Kevin and Graham!) and got Clara Oswald (a different one from the red dress mentioned above), a Captain Jack, An Ironside Dalek, several more Straxes and a few Zygons (not Slitheens as I mentioned in my last post above!)
I was hoping to find some at MCM at the weekend, but only one table had any and they were priced at £2.99, whereas Forbidden Planet had them for £1.99 each!
Au Res.,
Paul
